THE GODFATHER OF ILLINOIS POLITICS

From 1977 to 1981 Gaylord Freeman was an advisor to the administration of Jimmy Carter, who was also a member of the Trilateral Commission. The current housing problem actually began during the Carter Administration with the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977. Milton Friedman was a Fellow at the Hoover Institution while his colleague, Gaylord Freeman, was an adviser in Washington, DC engineering a severe recession and a subprime lending crisis. At the time, the Hoover Institution (on War, Revolution and Peace) blamed the Democrats for originating toxic mortgages without acknowledging that one of their own, Gaylord Freeman, Grand Master of the Prieuré de Sion, was giving counsel to the Carter administration that would, in the long term, destroy the U.S. economy:

“The federal government’s second contribution to the increase in housing prices was the Community Reinvestment Act. This act, passed in 1977 and beefed up in 1995, requires banks to lend in high-risk areas they would otherwise avoid. Banks that fail to comply pay fines and have more difficulty getting approval for mergers and branch expansions…” (Hoover Institution)

Gaylord Freeman of First Chicago is a compilation of Freeman’s speeches and letters. On page 11 is listed the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Chicago which included the two other members of the Prieuré de Sion — A. Robert Abboud and John Drick.  Let us not forget that Gaylord Freeman and John Drick were not only members but Grand Masters of the Prieuré de Sion which presides over the Learned Elders of Sion of the 33º. 

Also on the bank’s Board of Directors of First Chicago was “Thomas G. Ayers,” which should ring a bell.

As we suspected, First National Bank of Chicago board member, Thomas G. Ayers, was the father of William Ayers, the leader of the 1970’s Weather Underground, the violent revolutionary faction of the Communist front, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS):

“Thomas G. Ayers (February 16, 1915, Detroit, Michigan – June 8, 2007, Chicago, Illinois) was president (1964-1980), CEO and chairman (1973-1980) of Commonwealth Edison.

“Ayers served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University, the Erikson Institute, the Bank Street College of Education in New York City, the Chicago Symphony, the Chicago Community Trust, the Chicago Urban League, the Community Renewal Society, the Chicago Association of Commerce and Industry, Chicago United, the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities, and Dearborn Park Corp., and served as vice president of the Chicago Board of Education.

“Ayers also served on the board of directors of Sears, G.D. Searle, Chicago Pacific Corp., Zenith Corp., Northwest Industries, General Dynamics Corp. of St. Louis, First National Bank of Chicago, the Chicago Cubs, and the Tribune Co. 

“His son William Ayers, once the leader of the radical Weather Underground, has been a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 1987. Funded through the largesse of the Prieuré de Sion and its international banking cartel, Thomas G. Ayers, not Mayor Richard Daley, was the real “Godfather of Illinois Politics.”

“Thomas G Ayers was many things, but most importantly, he was the behind the scenes Godfather of Illinois Politics right up to his death last June and beyond. He passed the torch to his sons, especially Bill Ayers, Obama’s terrorist friend.

“Normally, when you have a child who turns out to be a criminal of major proportions, more so when a child is one of the FBI’s most wanted and a terrorist, life usually becomes unbearable: you’re shunned from the community, and employment is at risk. But not for Thomas Ayers. While his son Bill was bombing America, Thomas Ayers was being promoted to one of a highest profile and prestigious positions in Illinois and the country. He was also handed the keys to the most Nuclear Plants in the country as Chairman of Con Ed!

“So why did no one questioned his promotion? When you control a monopoly and you’re the Godfather of Illinois politics, anything is possible and no one can stand in your way.

“Many think Mayor Richard J. Daley was the Chicago Kingpin till his death, only to be followed by his son, Mayor Richard M. Daley, but that is not really so. They in fact are simply crooked politicians in fancy suits, mouthpieces for those behind the scenes!

“He was the Chicago establishment, he served on many boards, including that of G.D. Searle & Company (Donald Rumsfeld was CEO from 1977 to 1985 – that why Obama had such high praise of Rumsfeld?), Chicago Pacific Corp (sold Hoover to Maytag in 1985 – Crown Family), Zenith Corp., Northwest Industries, First National Bank of Chicago, the Chicago Cubs and Tribune Co., owner of the Chicago Tribune.

“But it was during his time as CEO of Con Ed that Thomas Ayers learned to work both sides of the street, making him the go to person in Illinois, the man with the ‘power’. It all started in the early 1960’s when he helped negotiate the first labor contract between Con Ed and the 12,000 member International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers! Thomas Ayers learned then that power comes from the streets; he also learned that power came from championing the plight of the Black community that provided real power in Chicago!

“When Rev. Martin Luther King Jr brought his open house campaign to Chicago in the mid 1960’s, Thomas Ayers was called upon to negotiate between Mayor Richard J. Daley’s administration and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. He also developed the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities to fight racial discrimination in housing.” (“Ayers, Obama, Philanthropy, Corruption”)

The Godfather of Illinois Politics, the well-connected father of the terrorist, William Ayers, also financed young Barack Obama’s rise to power.  Steve Diamond, a law professor at Santa Clara University School of Law, identifies Chicago’s wealthy Jews, particularly Thomas G. Ayers, as the financial power behind Obama:

“So it is reasonable to ask, who ‘sent’ Barack Obama? In other words, how can his meteoric rise to political prominence be explained? And, of course, in an answer to that question might lie a better understanding of his essential world view.

“Today, however, many of these individuals continue to hold political views that hardened in that period. Many of them have joined up with other wings of the late 60s and 70s movements, in particular the pro-China maoists elements of that era and are now playing a role in the labor movement and elsewhere. And yet this question of Obama’s links to people from this milieu has not been thoroughly explored by any of the many thousands of journalists, bloggers and political operatives looking so closely at Obama.

“The most recent effort was by Jonathan Kaufman in the Wall Street Journal who argued that a critical connection for Obama was his links to some in the wealthy and prominent Jewish community in Chicago.” (“Who Sent Obama?”)

Jonathan Kaufman of the Wall Street Journal wrote of Obama’s early Jewish “network of mentors and donors”:

“Many Chicago law firms courted Mr. Obama. He joined a boutique firm specializing in housing and civil rights. Judson Miner, who had been a close ally of Mayor Washington, headed the firm...

“Mr. Miner is Jewish, like many of the whites in Mr. Obama’s network of mentors and donors: Newton Minow, head of the Federal Communications Commission under President Kennedy and a prominent Chicago lawyer; Abner Mikva, a former Chicago congressman and a federal judge; political fund-raisers Betty Lu Saltzman, daughter of wealthy developer Philip Klutznik, and Penny Pritzker, heir to the Hyatt Hotel fortune; and, most importantly, political strategist David Axelrod, who now runs Mr. Obama’s presidential campaign.

“‘I used to tease Barack that he had Jewish blood,’ says Mr. Miner...” (Wall Street Journal, April 28, 2008)

“Who ‘sent’ Obama?” Conspicuously absent from the Wall Street Journal article was the powerful father of William Ayers:  

“So, who did ‘send’ Obama? The key I think is his ties not to well connected uber lawyer Newton Minow, as Kaufman suggests, but more likely to the family of the (in)famous former Weather Underground leader Bill Ayers – not just Bill Ayers, but also Bill’s father Tom Ayers and his brother John as well.

“Obama was a community organizer from about 1985 to 1988, when he left Chicago for Harvard Law School. During that time a critical issue in Chicago politics was the ongoing crisis in the public schools. A movement was underway from two angles: below in black, latino and other communities for more local control of schools and from above by business interests who wanted to cut costs... 

“A 1987 teachers’ strike brought those two sides together to push for a reform act passed by the Illinois legislature in 1988 that created ‘Local School Councils’ (LSC) to be elected by residents in a particular school area. According to Shipps, the strike ‘enrag[ed] parents and provid[ed] the catalyst for a coalition between community groups and Chicago United that was forged in the ensuing year…” (“Who Sent Obama?”)

Thomas Ayers helped found and served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Chicago United. And it turns out that Gaylord Freeman initiated and hosted meetings of Chicago United’s coalition of blacks leaders and white businessmen at the First National Bank of Chicago. Speaking at a 1969 fundraising dinner for Chicago business executives, Freeman said that he also funded the original Black Center for Strategy and Community Development:

 “...I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to sit in with a small group of leaders – black and white – to see if together we could overcome some of our common problems. We whites initiated the meetings...

“...They urged our support of the Black Center for Strategy and Community Development, and after our patient examination we understood their need. We have worked to raise the necessary funds and have obtained a ruling from the Internal Revenue Service that contributions to the center are tax deductible. They have worked to organize the center and to staff it effectively.

“The subsequent evolution of the Black Strategy Center to which Chicago corporations initially contributed more than $600,000, was to prove a painful but instructive ‘learning experience for both whites and blacks involved in the venture. Contact between them might have been broken off if [Gaylord] Freeman had not made the congenial setting of the 57th floor of the First National Bank Building the meeting place for regular talks which held the whites and blacks together. Known simply as ‘The Group’, they eventually arrived at understandings which led to the replacement of The Black Strategy Center by a new and effective organization known as CHICAGO UNITED.” (Gaylord Freeman of First Chicago, 1975, pp. 53, 49-50)

From the outset, Chicago’s Jewish elite figured largely in Barack Obama’ success and meteoric rise to power. In his youth, Obama reciprocated for the Jewish business community’s support by speaking at Zionist anti-war rallies. And the Jewish businessman, Thomas G. Ayers, arranged for Obama’s first job at the prestigious Jewish law firm of Sidley & Austin, where Michelle Robinson also worked. 

Obama’s Works At A Chicago Law Firm

“In the fall of 1988, however, Obama left the city to go off to law school. My best guess, though, is that it was in that 86-88 time frame that Obama likely met up with the Ayers family. I will explain why I believe that in a minute. Interestingly, after his first year in law school Obama returned in the summer of 1989 to work as a summer associate at the prestigious Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin. This in and of itself is a bit unusual. Very few top tier law students work for big law firms during their first summer. The big law firms discourage it because if you work for them in the first summer you are likely to work for a second firm the following year and then the firms have to compete to get you.

“So, why or how did Obama – at that point not yet the prominent first black president of the Harvard Law Review (that would happen the following year) – end up at Sidley?

“Sidley had been long time outside counsel to Commonwealth Edison. The senior Sidley partner who was Comm Ed’s key outside counsel, Howard Trienens, was a member of the board of trustees of Northwestern alongside Tom Ayers (and Sidley partner Newton Minow, too). It turns out, Bernadine Dohrn worked at Sidley also. She was hired there in the late 80s, because of the intervention of her father-in-law Tom Ayers, even though she was (and is) not a member of any state bar.

“Dohrn was not admitted in either NY or Illinois because of her past jail time for refusing to testify about the murderous 1981 Brinks robbery in which her former Weather Underground (now recast as the ‘Revolutionary Armed Task Force’) ‘comrades,’ including Kathy Boudin (biological mother of Chesa Boudin, who was raised by Ayers and Dohrn) participated. She was finally paroled after serving 22 years of a plea bargained single 20-to-life sentence for her role in the robbery where a guard was shot and killed and two police officers were killed. The father of Chesa Boudin, David Gilbert, was sentenced to 75-to-life, with no chance of parole, after a trial in which he refused to participate. Chesa is the co-author of a recent apologia for the regime of Venezuelan ‘left’ strong man, Hugo Chavez.

“Trienens recently explained his unusual decision to hire Dohrn, who had never practiced law and had graduated from law school (before going on her bombing spree) 17 years before in 1967) to The Chicago Tribune saying, ‘[W]e sometimes hire friends.’

“I can only speculate, but it is possible that Tom Ayers introduced Obama to Sidley. That might have happened if Obama had met up with Bill and Tom and John Ayers prior to attending law school when Obama’s DCP group was supporting the reform act passed in 1988. Or it might have been Dohrn who introduced Obama to the law firm. Dohrn’s CV indicates that she left Sidley sometime in 1988 for public interest work prior to starting a position at Northwestern (again, hired there by some accounts because of the influence of Tom Ayers and his Sidley counsel Howard Trienens). Obama and Dohrn would likely not have been at the firm at the same time, although if Obama and Dohrn met before Obama left to attend Harvard Law School, she might have discussed the firm with him and introduced him to lawyers there.

“My best guess, though, is that it would have been Tom Ayers who introduced Obama to Sidley and that would have helped him get the attention of someone like Newton Minow. And that would have come in very handy later in Obama’s career as Kaufman suggests. Recently I heard from Nell Minow, daughter of Newton Minow, who tells me her sister Martha, a Harvard law professor, had Obama as a student at HLS and that she called her father to tell him about Obama. While Nell contends on the basis of this anecdote that her family met and supported Obama before he met Bill Ayers, she was unable to provide me any evidence of when in fact Obama met Ayers, either Bill or Tom.

“In any case the summer of 1989 was eventful for Obama as he did meet his future wife, Michelle, there, already a lawyer and working as a Sidley associate. Michelle was Obama’ first supervisor or mentor there. Obama went back to Harvard in the fall of 1989 where, of course, he became president of the law review in the spring of 1990. After graduation in 1991 he went back to Chicago to run a voter registration campaign (which would turn out to be an important step in his career).” (“Who Sent Obama?”)

Thomas Ayers’ other son, John, is “a national leader in charter school development,” which is the multinational corporations’ venture into the “business” of education. [See: “Charter Schools, Character Education and the Eugenics Internationale”]

During the Pennsylvania primary debate with Hilary Clinton, Obama denied his connection with Bill Ayers with statements contrived to distort the facts:

“This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.

“And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense, George.” (Transcript: Obama and Clinton Debate)

Obama was careful to hide the fact that he worked for the prestigious Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin which was counsel to Commonwealth Edision Co., whose President and Chairman was Thomas G. Ayers, the father of William Ayers, whose wife Bernadine Dorn also worked for Sidley and Austin. Obama also worked closely with William Ayers on the Annenberg Challenge, an education reform project, and would have known that Ayers was a professor of Education, not English.

The Real Power Behind Obama’s Meteoric Rise

“Thus, we have one possible answer to the question: Who ‘sent’ Obama? It was the Ayers family, including Tom, John, Bill and Bernadine Dohrn.

“It is highly unlikely that a 30-something second year lawyer would have been plucked from relative obscurity out of a left wing law firm to head up something as visible and important in Chicago as the Annenberg Challenge by Bill Ayers if Ayers had not already known Obama very well. One possibility is that Obama proved himself to the Ayers’s in the battle for local school control when he was at the DCP in the 80s.

“One guess as to why Obama does not play up his educational experience more thoroughly now – it certainly could be of use to him one would think in beefing up his “I have the experience to be President’ argument – is that it would lead to a renewed discussion of the Ayers connection, which is clearly toxic for Obama. This likely explains why Obama tried a kind of head fake when asked about Ayers by George Stephanopoulos in the TV debate with Clinton prior to the Pennsylvania primary.

“Obama said Ayers was a ‘professor of English.’ Yet, Obama chaired the Annenberg Challenge for three years and served on its board for another three years, working closely with Ayers on grants to Chicago schools. And he did not know that Ayers was a professor of Education? That strains credulity.” (“Who Sent Obama?”)

As recently as 1999, John Ayers worked with Michelle Obama in the Community Renewal Society, a civil rights organization and project funder for the United Church of Christ (Rev. Jeremiah Wright).  Chicago United and the Community Renewal Society are among the top ten philanthropy foundations that control politics in Illinois. Working with John Ayers and Michelle Obama was Susan Klonsky, formerly of the Communist front, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), whose national chairman was her husband, Mike Klonsky.

OBAMA’S JEWISH ANCESTORS

Most of the presidents of the SDS, including Klonsky, and its ultra radical offshoot, the Weather Underground, were Jewish. Was Barack Obama’s rise from obscurity due to his high rank as a Merovingian Jew, just like his handlers, Thomas Ayers, Gaylord Freeman, and the other Prieuré de Sion/Bank of Chicago directors, John Drick and A. Robert Abboud?  Obama‘s genealogy reveals that he was descended from William I “the Lion”, King of Scotland, and Henry II of England. King William I “the Lion” of Scotland was descended from Godfroi de Bouillon, the first Grand Master of the Prieure de Sion. Obama’s genealogy also states that his mother and grandfather were related to several Jewish U.S. presidents. Henry Makow, a Jewish author, shares his observations and insights regarding the Dunham family:

“If you Google ‘America’s First Jewish President,’ you'll find links to many Jewish publications ‘kvelling’ (yiddish for boasting)  about how Barack Obama was sponsored by Jews and is ‘one of us.’  This may be literally true. I suspect his mother’s father Stanley ‘Dunham’ was Jewish. Obama’s mother ‘Stanley Anne Dunham’ certainly looked and acted like a Communist Jew. (My first mother-in-law was one.)

“To call Barrack Obama ‘America's First Jewish President’ is disingenuous. Many other presidents are rumored to have had Jewish blood: Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson and the Bushes to name a few. So it’s not surprising to read in Wikipedia that, Stanley Dunham, a lowly furniture salesman from Kansas was related to six US Presidents.

“‘Stanley Armour Dunham’s distant cousins include six US presidents: James Madison, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush. [19] Through a common ancestor, Mareen Duvall, ...Stanley Dunham is related to former Vice-President Dick Cheney (an eighth cousin once removed).[2] Through another common ancestor, Hans Gutknecht, ...Stanley Dunham is President Harry S. Truman’s fourth cousin, twice removed.’...

“...Wikipedia waxes on about Stanley's ‘Irish’ antecedents but my Jew-dar isn’t buying it.

“Obama’s mother, ‘Stanley Anne’, became a Communist and fought the ‘Establishment,’ not realising the Communists ARE the Establishment... 

“‘Stanley Anne’ was an ‘idealistic’ part-Jewish woman who got her Ph.D. and worked for Timothy Geitner’s father in Indonesia at the elite Ford Foundation. Some suspect she did double time for the CIA.” (“Obama’s Jewish Grandfather”)

Yet more evidence of Obama’s Jewish ethnicity is an obscure news article which surfaced during the 2008 campaign. It seems that Michelle Obama’s cousin is a Jewish rabbi:

Rabbi key to Obama’s bid for Jewish vote

“Democratic U.S. Presidential candidate Barack Obama, who has been struggling to gain the Jewish vote, could have taken advantage of his wife’s cousin who’s one of the most distinguished black rabbis in the U.S. Still, this has almost slipped media attention as Obama has been cautious in mentioning his family’s connection.

“Michelle Obama’s cousin is Rabbi Capers C. Funnye, spiritual leader of a mostly black synagogue on Chicago’s South Side. Funnye’s mother, Verdelle Robinson Funnye (born Verdelle Robinson) and Michelle Obama’s paternal grandfather, Frasier Robinson Jr., were brother and sister.

“Funnye is chief rabbi at the Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation. He also serves on the Chicago Board of Rabbis.

“The rabbi is known for his efforts to bring together the mainstream Jewish population and smaller black Jewish congregations – commonly referred to as Hebrews or Israelites. He has repeatedly called on the larger Jewish community to accept more non-white Jews.

“Much analysis of Obama’s relationship with the Jewish community has been made during the presidential campaign. On the one hand, wealthy Jewish families played a major role in Obama’s rise to power in Chicago. On the other hand, the presidential nominee has not been a success breaking scepticism by the Jewish community over Israel. Moreover, there are persistent rumours (which are false) that Barack Obama is a Muslim, with a number of articles appearing in online editions and discussions in blogs and forums.

“Funnye denies any involvement in Obama’s campaign but admits he has donated money to it. Nor does he deny his family’s connection with the Democratic presidential nominee, and it is common knowledge among his Chicago congregation.

“Funnye’s congregation describes itself as Ethiopian Hebrew but it is in fact not related to the Jewish community of Ethiopia, most of whom have immigrated to Israel in recent decades. It is also not linked to the Hebrew Israelite black supremacist group whose street demonstrations have become familiar spectacles in a number of American cities.” (Russian Times, 9 September, 2008)

Rabbi Funnye is a major figure, not only in the Jewish community of Chicago but also nationally and internationally.

“Capers C. Funnye, Jr. is rabbi and spiritual leader of Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation, located in Chicago, IL at 6601 S. Kedzie Avenue. Rabbi Funnye also serves as a Senior Research Associate for the Institute of Jewish and Community Research, located in San Francisco, CA.

“Rabbi Funnye earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hebrew Literature and rabbinic ordination from the Israelite Board of Rabbis, Inc., Queens, NY. Rabbi Funnye also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish Studies and Master of Science in Human Service Administration from Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies, Chicago, IL.

“Rabbi Funnye has served as a consultant to several institutions, including The Du Sable Museum of African American History, The Chicago Historical Society, The Spertus Museum of Judaica, all located in Chicago, IL; The Black Holocaust Museum, located in Milwaukee, WI; Institute for Jewish and Community Research, San Francisco, CA and the Afro-American Museum, located in Los Angeles, CA.

“Rabbi Funnye has lectured at numerous universities, synagogues, churches and various community organizations throughout the United States. He has appeared on several national and local television programs, and spoken on numerous radio programs both national and local.

Is “Capers Funnye” a practical joke on the Gentile world which has been misled to believe that Obama is a Muslim?  It is entirely possible that both Barack and Michelle have Jewish ancestry, being Ethiopian Hebrews like the Rabbi Funnye.  Rabbi Funnye claims to be a former Methodist who converted to Judaism, however, it is highly implausible, considering the weight given to racial purity in the Jewish community, that a Gentile convert would sit on the governing boards of a multitude of Jewish organizations, including the powerful American Jewish Congress.

Russia Today’s ‘funnye caper’ may have been a cryptic message to the Jewish community: that Barack Obama is one of “us” and rumors of his Muslim ancestry are agitation propaganda for the Gentile masses.  The late CIA Director William Casey is said to have made the statement, “We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” 

John Adams wrote, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”  Dispelling the ubiquitous disinformation that Barack Obama is a Muslim are some stubborn facts: that wealthy Jews played a major role in Obama’s rise to power; that Obama’s grandfather was related to U.S. presidents known to be Jewish; that the cousin of Michelle Robinson Obama is an Ethiopian Jewish Rabbi; that the Obama administration is predominantly controlled by Jews (“Swindlers List: Obama’s Zionist Jews in Power”); that 78% of U.S. Jews voted for Barack Obama, who was then hailed by the Israeli Haaretz News as the ‘first Jewish president.’”

The Congressional Research Service reported in December, 2009: “Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II. From1976-2004, Israel was the largest annual recipient of U.S. foreign assistance, having been supplanted by Iraq. According to John Pilger, world-renowned investigative reporter and documentary filmmaker, “On 11 December, President Obama announced $2.75 billion ‘aid’ for Israel, a down payment on the $30 billion American taxpayers will gift from their stricken economy during this decade.” (“For Israel, a reckoning”)

UPDATE: On July 27, 2012, President Obama signed legislation for $70 BILLION in additional spending for Israel’s “Iron Dome” rocket defense system. The mainstream media, with the exception of CBS, reported the expenditure as $70 Million instead of $70 Billion. To further insure that this newsworthy event would go unnoticed, Obama signed this exorbitant piece of legislation during the Olympics’ opening ceremony. 

BARACK OBAMA: ETHIOPIAN HEBREW

According to Wikipedia, Michelle Obama's cousin, Rabbi Capers Funnye who is chief rabbi of Beth Shalom B’nai Zaken Ethiopian Hebrew Congregation, “is active in the Institute for Jewish and Community Research, which reaches out to black Jewish communities outside the United States, such as the Beta Israel in Ethiopia...”   The American Jewish Congress, on whose board Rabbi Funnye serves, advocates for the return of the Ethiopian Jews of Beta Israel to their homeland of Israel.

A document published by the American Jewish Congress explains the presence of Jews in Ethiopia, many of whom are now emigrating to Israel:

      “Israel’s Declaration of Independence, first read in public by David Ben Gurion on May 14, 1948 at the Tel Aviv Museum before 250 witnesses, clearly stated one of Israel’s reasons-for-being: ‘...the State of Israel will be open for Jewish immigration and the Ingathering of the Exiles.’ Neither the framers of the declaration nor its distinguished audience could have imagined that by its 60th birthday Israel would be home to 110,000 Ethiopian Jews.

“In fact, in those years only a handful of scholars and rabbis knew that the Ethiopian Jews existed; they were living as an impoverished, isolated, and persecuted ‘caste’ in scattered villages around Lake Tana in northern Ethiopia. They called themselves Beta Yisrael (House of Israel), while other Ethiopians labeled them with the derogatory term Falusha (strangers, or exiles)...

“There are competing theories about how Ethiopians came to be counted among the Jewish people. The mythic explanation still revered by some Ethiopians holds that their Jewish identity can be traced to the biblical meeting of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Ethiopian tradition holds that King Solomon and the Queen had a son, Menelik, who was raised in Jerusalem until, as a young man, God came to him in a dream and told him to return to his homeland, Aksum (capital of ancient Ethiopia). He took with him a retinue of Israelites from Solomon's court and the Holy Ark itself. Menelik, raised as an Israelite, became the first Emperor of Ethiopia.

“The rabbinic account is based on a responsa by the Radbaz (Rabbi David ben Zimra) in 1615, which declared the child of ‘Falasha’ woman to be a Jew, descended from the tribe of Dan. For centuries rabbinic authorities have recognized the Ethiopian Jews of Beta Israel as descendants of the tribe of Dan — the apostate tribe of Israel that will produce the Antichrist.

“Most of the Beta Israel consider the Kebra Negast legend to be a fabrication. Instead they believe, based on the ninth century stories of Eldad ha-Dani (the Danite), that the tribe of Dan attempted to avoid the civil war in the Kingdom of Israel between Solomon's son Rehoboam and Jeroboam the son of Nebat, by resettling in Egypt. From there they moved southwards up the Nile into Ethiopia, and the Beta Israel are descended from these Danites...

“In the sixteenth century, the Chief Rabbi of Egypt, Rabbi David ben Solomon ibn Abi Zimra (Radbaz) proclaimed that in terms of halakha (Jewish legal code), the Ethiopian community was certainly Jewish. During the nineteenth century, the majority of European Jewish authorities openly supported this assertion.

“In 1908, the chief rabbis of 45 countries made a joint statement officially declaring that Ethiopian Jews were indeed Jewish. This proclamation was chiefly due to the work of Professor Jacques Faitlovitch, who studied Amharic and Tigrinya at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes in Paris under Professor Joseph Halévy. Halévy first visited the Ethiopian Jews in 1876. Upon his return to Europe, Halévy published a ‘Kol Korei,’ a cry to the world Jewish community to save the Ethiopian Jews. Barack Obama doppelganger?

According to Bible commentator Matthew Poole, Ezekiel 27:19 indicates that Israelites of the tribe of Dan migrated to the region of Meroe in lower Egypt (Ancient Ethiopia) prior to the Assyrian captivity.

“19. Dan also and Javan ││going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.

“If it were the tribe of Dan, it must be understood of a time before the captivity of the ten tribes; but there is a learned man tells us of Dana a city of Taprobana, or the island Zeilan mentioned by Ptolemy, and this learned man will have this meant. Javan; not Javan or Greece, saith that learned man, but another Javan in the isle Meroe in remote parts of Egypt, where is a principal town Uzal, or Asel, from whence these merchants came, and therefore styled Javan of Uzal, or Javan Meuzal. And if the cassia or calamus, mentioned in the verse, were the wares brought in by the Danites and Javanites, I should go as far as Meroe and Taphrobana to send them...” (Matthew Poole, Annotations Upon the Holy Bible, p. 746)

The Danites of Meroe are called Meroites. “Meroe” may be the root of “Merovingian” and “Meroite” a blend of ‘Meroe’ and ‘Danite.’ Present-day Sudan was part of Ancient Ethiopia and some Sudanese believe that Obama is a royal descendant of a Pharaoh Taharqa of the Meroe region of Ancient Ethiopia. 

THE SUDAN: MYSTERIOUS AND DISTANT LAND

“‘Ancient Nubia, or Kush as it is called in the Bible,’ explains Dr Krzysztof Grzymski, Senior Curator and Head: Department of World Cultures at the Royal Ontario Museum, ‘is, after Egypt, the second oldest literate civilisation in Africa. It had two main cities, Napata and Meroe.’...

“Now it seems Hollywood may be hot on Grzymski’s trail. Some in Sudan believe Barack Obama’s grandfather didn’t come from Kenya, but from the Nuba Mountains.

“Taharqa was a Nubian king of Egypt who fought the Assyrians. ‘Obama could be descended from the first black superhero,’ says Grzymski. ‘The rumour going around is that Will Smith is set to play him.’ Don’t say you didn’t read it here first.’”

Taharqa is found in 2 Kings 19:9 and Isaiah 37:9 as “Tirhakah,” king of Ethiopia:

28  Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

29  Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

30  Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria...

2 Kings 19

8   So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

9   And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying,

10  Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
 

It is most interesting that actor Will Smith is producing and will star in a movie about Taharqa titled “The Last Pharaoh.” 

“Will Smith really wants a crack at the ancient history epic, and this time it looks like he's going to get it. According to Variety, Smith has hired the go-to guy for historical epics, Randall Wallace, to pen The Last Pharaoh for him to star in.

“It won't actually be about the last pharaoh of Egypt (Cleopatra still holds that distinction),
but Taharqa, a member of the Nubian dynasty of Egypt, who ruled from 690 to 664 B.C.E. Mentioned by Greek historian Strabo as one of the greatest military tacticians in the world, he's believed to be Tirhakah, king of Ethopia, who's mentioned in the Old Testament as driving Assyrian king Sennacherib away from destroying Jerusalem.” (“Will Smith is ‘The Last Pharaoh’”)

For the record, 2 Kings 19 and Isaiah 37 credit God—not the Ethiopian Pharaoh Tirhakah—with “driving Assyrian king Sennacherib away from destroying Jerusalem”:

32 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
33 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.
34 For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.
37 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

According to Wikipedia, “President Barack Obama has stated that if a film were to ever be made about his life, he would have Smith play his part...”  Is this movie prescriptive programming?... Will Smith playing not only Obama's ancestor, Ethiopian King Tirhakah, but Obama as the last pharoah/president defending the homeland (Israel), against the Assyrians (the Arabs, i.e Iran and AlQuaeda).

From all appearances The Last Pharaoh will be a propaganda tool to legitmize the messianic lineage of Barack Obama.  Not that Obama will be the Antichrist; that role will be filled by Thomas Plantard de Saint-Claire. However, if President Obama is a Jew of the tribe of Dan, he may be one of the ten kings:  

“And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.” (Dan. 7:24)  

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” (Rev. 17:12-13)
