This is a 3-leaf lot of early printing from the Holie Bible, Bishops version second folio edition. Printed by Richarde Jugge printer to the queen at London in Powles Churchyard in 1572. The Bishops Bible was a revision of the Great Bible version undertaken by Matthew Parker (1504-1575) Archbishop of Canterbury with the assistance of many bishops and well-known Biblical scholars. The folio size paper leaf measures 400 x 260 mm. in totality and contains a family tree of the tribe of Judah. The verso continues the genealogy with the sons of Judah from Hezron. There are 2 other text only leaves from the introduction. (Darlow & Moule 96) The condition of these leaves is less than good due to staining and chipping and repair tape.
