MEDIEVAL JUDAISM’S REVIVAL FIRE
The New Apostolic Reformation is not new, nor is it based on the teachings of the original apostles, nor is it a reformation. It is a modern revival of ancient Jewish mysticism which the true apostles, especially Paul, warned the early Church to reject. NAR is a major heresy that is presently leading multitudes of Christians into the occult To emphasize the eternal danger of this revival of Jewish occultism, which is a “damnable heresy,” references to the “revival fire” are highlighted in red.
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3
Dr. Michael Brown was a major figure in the Latter Rain revival in the late 1990s which was renamed and reimaged as the “New Apostolic Reformation.” Michael Brown was also among the NAR leaders who influenced Stephen Black’s “Spiritual Formation.” Dr. Brown claims that he is no longer a NAR Apostle, but in 2018 he was a speaker with John and Carol Arnott and other NAR Apostles at the “Toronto Blessing Light the Fire Again” conference. As a Messianic Jewish leader, Michael Brown also promotes the Hidden Secrets of Kabbalah, the mystical teachings about ‘Ein Sof’ and the universe, which forms the foundation of mystical interpretations of Torah within Judaism. In the Kabbalah, Ein Sof is not the God of Scripture, who is portrayed therein as a jealous, murderous, evil Demiurge who withholds enlightenment from humans so he can control them.
All occult traditions in the West have an ancient history based on the Kabbalah which was compiled from the oral traditions of the Jewish Rabbis which they derived from the ancient pagan wisdom of Chaldea, Persia and Greece.
“It is widely accepted by anyone credible that Kabbalah is the root of all Western occult traditions. But many don’t realize that this stems from Luciferianism. Those who delve into Eastern occult traditions will find that those also stem from similar themes and archetypes to those in the West despite variations in delivery and message. The only exception to this rule throughout the world is the Tanakh Judaism of the Old Testament and the heir to this tradition, Christianity. This is something very hard for many to accept in our current Zeitgeist where people tend to believe that mysticism and moral relativism are the true roots of spirituality or religion and that monotheism unjustly usurped this. The Talmud, Midrashim and other Rabbinic texts, which mystically contemplated the Hebrew letters and numbers of the Torah, led to the development of the system of Kabbalah. The earliest Kabbalistic text, Sefer Yetsirah (Book of Creation), and the later foundational work, the Zohar, a mystical eisegesis of the Pentateuch, were derived from Greek Neo-Platonists and Jewish Gnosticism.
“The Zohar made its first appearance in Spain in the 13th century, and its contents show incontestably that not alone must the work, as a whole, be considerably later than the 2nd century (although many an idea and doctrine certainly does go as far back as that, and further too), but that it could not possibly be the production of a single author or a single period of history... It is, like the Yetsirah book, a syncretism. Many civilisations, many faiths, and many philosophies went to the making of it. All these were, in some instances, taken in their original state and incorporated in the work, while, in other instances, they found room in it only after they had passed through the crucible of the Jewish mind and had thus become ‘judaised’ in the process. But that a goodly proportion of it is the development of many a doctrine embodied in the Talmud and Midrashim, there cannot be the least doubt. To ask whether this or that doctrine of Talmudic literature is indigenous to the Talmud or has its source elsewhere, is, of course, quite another matter. But that it reached the Zohar from the Talmud and Midrashim and their progeny, directly, is certain.
“Where the foreign elements are drawn from is a fruitful subject of speculation amongst scholars. There is general admission, however, that Neoplatonism (Neoplatonism combined ideas from Plato, Aristotle, Pythagoras, and the Stoics with oriental mysticism. Predominant in pagan Europe until the early 6th century, it was a major influence on early Christian writers, on later medieval and Renaissance thought, and on Islamic philosophy. It envisages the human soul rising above the imperfect material world through virtue and contemplation toward knowledge of the transcendent One.) and Gnosticism are responsible for much.” (Christian Mysticism and the Original Lie)
According to the Apocryphal book, IV Esdras, a pseudepigraphic work (writing falsely ascribed to the prophet Ezra), God instructed Moses that the Kabbalah portion of the Law was to be hidden from the Israelites and entrusted to only the elect few:
“The chief characteristic of the Cabala is that, unlike the Scriptures, it was entrusted only to the few elect ones: wherefore, according to IV Esdras xiv, 5, 6, Moses, on Mount Sinai, when receiving both the Law and the knowledge of wondrous things, was told by the Lord: ‘These words shalt thou declare, and these shalt thou hide.’”
The Ancient History Encyclopedia states that, “Ultimately, the Kabbalah represents the Jewish form of what all mystical traditions strive for; a direct and intimate knowledge of the divine on a level beyond that of the intellect.”
The following excerpts from our report “Of Sages & Scholars” cite the works of Jewish scholars and rabbis. Their accounts of the medieval Jewish sages who compiled the Kabbalah, Talmud, Mishnah and other Jewish writings confirm that the sages are revered because they engaged in mystical contemplation, meditation, mantra repetition, etc. to enter altered states of consciousness. These mystical and ecstatic states were believed to be an ascent in a heavenly Chariot to the Throne in Paradise where the rabbis experienced “union with the One” and became divine:
“According to Gershom Scholem, Maimonides is referenced by all Kabbalists. Warning of the caution which should be exercised by those embracing mysticism, Maimonides wrote in his Mishnah Torah:
‘The less educated the candidate for mystical illumination, the less he knew of theology, the greater was the danger of a conflict with authority. Quite regardless of their specific content, all manuals of mysticism written from the standpoint of traditional authority illustrate this point. The Jewish authorities, for example, tried to avoid conflicts by restricting the right to engage in mystical practice and speculation to fully trained Talmudic scholars. All Kabbalistic manuals quote Maimonides’ warning: ‘No one is worthy to enter Paradise [realm of mysticism] who has not first taken his fill of meat and bread,’1 i.e., the common fare of sober Rabbinical learning 5. (Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, Hilkhoth Yesode ha-Torah, IV, 13.;as cited in Gershom Scholem, On the Kabbalah and its Symbolism, p. 26)’
“As mentioned previously, Zosimos explained the student’s transition from Talmudic ‘Haggadah’ to the very potent mystical experiences which spread like the revival ‘fire’ throughout the Diaspora, leading to development of the full Kabbalah. Zosimos stated that an adept named R. Akiva, regularly practiced the “ascent’ of the soul.
‘…The study of these mysterious visions and symbols, according to the Talmudic ‘haggadah’ or commentary on the ‘tellings’ or narratives of the Tanak (sacred scriptures), tells of the descent of this same ‘fire’ on the expositor of the prophetic scrolls when in a holy state of contemplation. In contrast, such meditation could lead to an ‘ascent’ (in imitation of Elijah) which could lead astray the unprepared, but could, as in the case of R. Akiva, lead to ascent and descent in ‘perfect peace’ (Scholem, 1991). 6. (Zosimos, Jewish Mystical Traditions;1995)’
“The Hekhalot or Merkavah mysticism mentioned above involves the summoning of ‘angels’ to receive wisdom. The Merkabah mystics are believed to become deified during this process.
‘…Hekhalot texts do tend to summon angels (never God, I believe) in a very preemptory way, and they ask for various types of esoteric wisdom and theurgic power. It seems clear also that the Merkavah mystics were deified (turned to angelic creatures of fire) before the throne of God, at least for the duration of the heavenly journey. Enoch received this deification permanently when he was transformed into the angel Metatron in 3 Enoch. But perhaps not too much should be made of this either, since deification rites are also known from the pagan magical papyri. 13. (J.Davila; Ancient Magic, Part III, Jewish Magic)’
“A perusal of Kabbalist material reveals variations and contradictions of the necessary ‘angels’ names’ that play such an important role in their rituals and for the ‘safe ascent of the soul.’ The ascent that the mystics described is believed to take place in stages or ladders through the Tree of Life (with the Sefirot) and as indicated by John Ferguson in An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Mysticism and the Mystery Religions.
‘According to Plotinus (205-270 AD), ‘there are stages in the soul’s ladder of ascent. The first includes purification, the freeing of the soul from the body, and the practice of the cardinal virtues. In the second the soul rises above sense-perception to Nous through contemplation. A third and higher stage, already ineffable, leads to union with Nous. Finally there is the climax of the whole ascent in mystical and ecstatic union with the One. 14.’”
The “ascent of the soul that the mystics...believed to take place in stages or ladders through the Tree of Life (with the Sefirot)” is described in the video cited above, Luciferian Roots of Kabbalah. The speaker describes the Tree of Life with the male (Phallus) and female (Shekinah) in the lower Sefirot and the Divinity at the crown. In Kabbalism, the soul’s ascent upward in the Tree of Life leads to the union of its male and female aspects as it is absorbed into the Divine which is androgynous. In Kabbalah and Gnostic doctrine, Adam was created androgynous but separated into male and female when he became materialistic. To return to their original state of ethereal divinity, mankind must transcend the material realm and unite male and female to become androgynous.
“According to Kabbalistic theory, the original divine unity was shattered at the beginning of Creation so that God’s masculine aspects (the Sefirot, called Tiferet and Yesod) were separated from the feminine, the SHEKHINAH. Our task is to bring together – through prayer, study of Torah, and performance of the mitzvot (commandments) – the ten separate Sefirot, thereby restoring that original divine unity...
“In modern times, Jewish feminists have embraced and elaborated on the image of the Shekhinah, contending that it serves an important counterweight and alternative to the predominantly patriarchal, male imagery of traditional Jewish texts and liturgy.” (The Encyclopedia of Jewish Symbols by Ellen Frankel and Betsy Platkin Teutsch, pp. 154-155)
In Gnostic doctrine, androgyny is the ideal condition of the original man and the condition to which mankind must return. Androgyny is also the Gnostic ideal of the LGBTQ+ (all sexual minorities) movement which is merging male and female into a variety of new genders. According to the Talmud and Mishnah, there are 8 genders, and the modern day Queer Theorists who are transitioning children away from their biological sex, educate them in their schools to believe there are an unlimited number of gender combinations from which to choose, depending on “how they feel inside.” The LGBTQ+ Revoice conference leaders also alluded to the Gnostic ideal of androgyny as God’s original plan and the reason God created them as homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender:
“Is it too dangerous, too unorthodox, to believe that I am uniquely designed to reflect the glory of God? That my orientation, before the fall, was meant to be a gift in appreciating the beauty of my own sex as I celebrated the friendship of the opposite sex? That perhaps within God’s flawless original design there might have been eunuchs, people called to lives of holy singleness?
“We in the church recoil from the word gay, from the very notion of same-sex orientation, because we know what it looks like only outside of Eden, where everything has gone wrong. But what if there’s goodness hiding within the ruins? What if the calling to gay Christian celibacy is more than just a failure of straightness? What if God dreamed it for me, wove it into the fabric of my being as he knit me together and sang life into me.” (Gregory Coles, Single, Gay, Christian, pp. 46-47)
“So questions that have until now been largely unanswered remain: what does queer culture (and specifically, queer literature and theory) have to offer us who follow Christ? What queer treasure, honor, and glory will be brought into the New Jerusalem at the end of time (Revelation 21:24-26)?” (Grant Hartley, Revoice 2018)
The Plot Against the Church traces the Jewish conspiracy to infiltrate Christianity with Gnostic doctrine from its earliest days and throughout Church history.
“If we come back to Gnosticism...it is necessary to establish that many years later Saint Irenaeus, described Valentinus, a Jew from Alexandria, as the leader of the Gnostics.
“J. Matter, the renowned historian of Gnosticism reports to us that the leading Jewish personages, the Alexandrian philosophers Philo and Aristobulus, who were completely and utterly true to the religion of their fathers, resolved to deck themselves out with the remains of other systems and make a way clear to Jewry for enormous conquests; both were also leaders of Gnosticism and Cabbalists. The said author explains: ‘That the Cabbala predates Gnosticism, is a viewpoint that Christian writers little understand, but which the scholars of Judaism profess with true certainty’; they also assert that Gnosticism was not exactly a falling away from Christianity but a combination of systems in which several Christian elements were taken up.
“After diligent study of the material, the learned English writer Nesta H. Webster comes to the conclusion that ‘the goal of Gnosticism was not to adapt the Cabbala to Christian practice, but to adapt Christianity to Cabbalist practices, by mixing its pure and simple teaching with theosophy and even with magic.’
“This attempt to adapt Christianity according to Cabbalist practices, the Jewish Cabbalists have repeated as often as they could. After the Gnostic failure, they introduced it into the Manichaean sects, then into the Albigensians, the Rosicrucians, Freemasonry, theosophical societies, spiritualists and other sects of different eras which are said to have practised Occultism, which is nothing other than the Hebrew Cabbala with all its derivations.
“In his confirmation that Cabbalists founded Gnosticism, the famous historian of Freemasonry, Ragon, reports that: ‘The Cabbala is the key to the secret sciences. The Gnostics emanated from the Cabbalists.’
“The ‘Jewish Encyclopaedia’ asserts that Gnosticism had a ‘Jewish character’ before it was transformed into a Christian one.’
“An interesting coincidence is the fact that the principal centre of Gnosticism at the time of its apogee was Alexandria, which at that time was the most important centre of Jewry outside Palestine, until Saint Cyril, the bishop of said city – centuries later – gave this breeding ground of infection for Christianity a deadly blow by expelling the Jews from Alexandria. The evidence of the Church Fathers completes the total picture of proofs, which we have laid before the reader, in order to show that Gnosticism was the work of Jewry; for they name several of the leaders of the Gnostic schools as Jews. On the other hand the ‘Jewish-Castilian Encyclopaedia’ indicates that: ‘The fact that the original Gnosticism, both the Christian as well as the Jewish, used Hebrew names in its system and that it even based its opposition upon Biblical ideas, points to its Jewish origin.’
“It says in addition that it influenced the later development of the Cabbala.
“After it is proved that Gnosticism is of Hebrew origin and was directed by Israelites of whom some had infiltrated into Christianity through baptism, we will see what its extent has been in the Christian world... One thus sees that also in this respect the Jewish tactics are always the same.”
“It is a noteworthy fact that heads of Gnostic schools and founders of gnostic systems are designated as Jews by the Church Fathers. Some derive all heresies, including those of Gnosticism, from Judaism (Hegesippus in Eusebius, ’Hist. Eccl.’ iv. 22; comp. Mystery Babylon: GnosticismFrom these sources we learn of the tactic of Jewry to infiltrate and destroy Christianity from within with its heretical doctrine and forbidden practices. In the interview, Rabbi Bernis talked about his experiences with angels, visions and miracles. Bernis claimed he was saved by “feeling the presence of God in a Bible study.” Also, that he has “tangibly felt the presence of God,” he has “heard the voices of angels” and he “knows many people who have seen angels.”
Janet also promoted Bernis’ book, A Rabbi Looks at the Supernatural: A Revealing Look at Angels, Demons, Miracles, Heaven and Hell. In the book, Rabbi Bernis favorably references the Talmud and the Mishneh—the rabbinic commentaries based on the oral traditions of unbelieving Jewish rabbis whose supernatural experiences inform their mystery religion instead of Scripture. Rabbi Bernis also alludes to the Noahide Laws without mentioning the fact that they criminalize the worship of Jesus Christ.
“Who Will Go to Heaven? The question remains: Who will be judged worthy to enter paradise? This question has also been debated over the centuries, with some Jewish leaders believing only the children of Israel will be granted entry, while others, like Rabbi Joshua ben Hananiah, said that “righteous Gentiles have a place in the world to come.” Maimonides agreed, saying, “The pious of all nations of the world have a portion in the world to come.” (p. 156)
In the Noahide Code of Law, non-Jews who disown Jesus are called “righteous Gentiles,” and the “world to come” will be the totalitarian dictatorship of the false messiah in the coming Zionist world kingdom.
“The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.” (Daniel 7:23)
Maimonides, who is highly revered in Judaism, wrote the code of Jewish law on which the Talmudic Noahide Laws are based:
“[Maimonides] completed the commentary on the Mishna at the age of 33, after which he began his magnum opus, the code of Jewish law, on which he also laboured for 10 years. Bearing the name of Mishneh Torah (‘The Torah Reviewed’) and written in a lucid Hebrew style, the code offers a brilliant systematization of all Jewish law and doctrine.” (Encyclopedia Britannica: Moses Maimonides)
“Noahide Laws, also called Noachian Laws, a Jewish Talmudic designation for seven biblical laws given to Adam and to Noah before the revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai and consequently binding on all mankind.
“Beginning with Genesis 2:16, the Babylonian Talmud listed the first six commandments as prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, and robbery and the positive command to establish courts of justice (with all that this implies). After the Flood a seventh commandment, given to Noah, forbade the eating of flesh cut from a living animal (Gen. 9:4). Though the number of laws was later increased to 30 with the addition of prohibitions against castration, sorcery, and other practices, the ‘seven laws,’ with minor variations, retained their original status as authoritative commandments and as the source of other laws. As basic statutes safeguarding monotheism and guaranteeing proper ethical conduct in society, these laws provided a legal framework for alien residents in Jewish territory. Maimonides thus regarded anyone who observed these laws as one ‘assured of a portion in the world to come.’ Throughout the ages scholars have viewed the Noahide Laws as a link between Judaism and Christianity, as universal norms of ethical conduct, as a basic concept in international law, or as a guarantee of fundamental human rights for all.” (Encyclopedia Britannica: Noahide Laws)
Maimonides wrote that Jesus the Nazarene could not have been the Christ because He caused the destruction of Israel, the dispersion of the Jews, the change of the Law, and therefore the greater part of the world worshiped Him. (Maimonides lived in the 12th century.) In 1892, a Roman Catholic priest, I.B. Pranaitis, wrote The Talmud Unmasked: The Secret Rabbinical Teachings Concerning Christians, to expose the treachery of the Talmud and Maimonides:
“Maimonides attempts to prove how much Christians err in worshipping Jesus in his book Hilkoth Melakhim (IX, 4):(27)
“If all the things he did had prospered, if he had rebuilt the Sanctuary in its place, and had gathered together the dispersed tribes of Israel, then he would certainly be the Messiah...But if so far he has not done so and if he was killed, then it is clear he was not the Messiah whom the Law tells us to expect. He was similar to all the good and upright rulers of the House of David who died, and whom the Holy and Blessed Lord raised up for no other reason but to prove to many, as it is said (in Dan. XI, 35): And some of them who understand shall fall, to try and to purge them and to make them white, even till the end of time, because the appointed time is not yet. Daniel also prophesied about Jesus the Nazarene who thought he was the Christ, and who was put to death by the judgment of the Senate: (Dan. V.14): ...and the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fail. What could be plainer? For all the Prophets said that the Christ would set Israel free, would bring it salvation, restore its dispersed peoples and confirm their laws. But he was the cause of the destruction of Israel and caused the rest of them to be dispersed and humiliated, so that the Law was changed and the greater part of the world was seduced to worship another God.”
In his book, A Rabbi Looks at the Supernatural, Rabbi Bernis cited another famous Rabbi –“Judah the Prince”— as a spiritual leader who taught a lesson from the Talmud which contradicts the teaching of Scripture on eternal salvation. The lesson was a fable about an old Jewish man who led a debauched life for which he blamed other people, but at the end of his life, he finally accepted responsibility for the way he lived his life and this earned for him eternal life.
“But when none of those he had accused would accept the blame, he finally had to admit, ‘The matter then depends on me alone!’
“Upon hearing this, Rabbi Judah the Prince, the spiritual leader of that generation, declared, ‘Some take many years to earn eternal life, but some acquire immortality in one hour!’” (p. 100)
Rabbi Judah the Prince was the son of the President of the Sanhedrin in the 2nd century A.D. and a major figure in Talmudic Judaism in his own right. Judah the Prince was the chief redactor and editor of the Mishnah, now part of the Talmud, so that the Jews would never forget the oral traditions — the “traditions of men” that make null and void the Word of God — which Jesus condemned along with the Rabbis who taught them.
“Judah the Prince was born in 135 CE to President of Sanhedrin Simeon ben Gamliel II. According to the Midrash, he came into the world on the same day that Rabbi Akiva died as a martyr. The Talmud suggests that this was a result of Divine Providence: God had granted the Jewish people another leader of great stature to succeed Rabbi Akiva. His place of birth is unknown. He is the only tanna known as Rabbeinu HaQadosh, ‘our holy teacher, due to his deep piety’ …
“The Gemara (also transliterated Gemora, Gemarah, or, less commonly, Gemorra; from Hebrew גמרא, from the Aramaic verb gamar, study) is the component of the Talmud comprising rabbinical analysis of and commentary on the Mishnah. After the Mishnah was published by Judah the Prince (c. 200 CE), the work was studied exhaustively by generation after generation of rabbis in Babylonia and the Land of Israel. Their discussions were written down in a series of books that became the Gemara, which when combined with the Mishnah constituted the Talmud.”
“For centuries, the Torah appeared only as a written text transmitted in parallel with the oral tradition. Fearing that the oral traditions might be forgotten, Judah undertook the mission of consolidating the various opinions into one body of law which became known as the Mishnah. This completed a project which had been mostly clarified and organized by his father and Nathan the Babylonian.
“The Mishnah consists of 63 tractates codifying Jewish law, which are the basis of the Talmud. According to Abraham ben David, the Mishnah was compiled by Rabbi Judah the Prince in anno mundi 3949, or the year 500 of the Seleucid era, which corresponds to 189 CE.” (Judah ha Nasi)
According to the authors of The Plot Against the Church, Judah the Prince, instigated the persecution of Christians under Nero:
“In these instigations of the Hebrews to call forth the Roman persecutions against Christianity, participated even those Rabbis outstanding in the history of the synagogue, such as the famed ‘Rabbi Jehuda, one of the authors of the Talmud (the sacred books and the source of the religion of modern Jewry), [who was] was successful in the year 155 of our calendar in obtaining a command, according to which all Christians of Rome were to be sacrificed, and on the grounds of which many thousands were killed. Why would Janet Mefferd give a Jewish Rabbi an audience to promote his book which recommends the false and dangerous teachings of medieval Jewish Talmudists who despised Jesus Christ and Christianity and who praised Judah HaNasi, head of the Sanhedrin, who called for the persecution of Christians in Rome? This Prince, son of the President (Nasi) of the Sanhedrin, edited and preserved the Mishnah so future generations would read the litany of blasphemy of our Lord Jesus Christ and slander of Christians as “akin to animals,” and pages of Jewish vitriol against Christianity.
The Talmud Unmasked by Rev. I. B, Prenaitis and The Jewish Religion: Its Influence Today by Elizabeth Dilling reveal the anti-Christ and anti-Christian agenda of the Talmud. Rabbi Jonathan Bernis has interviewed Rabbi Eric Walker about his book, The Tree of Life, on the Jewish Voice channel:
“Jonathan Bernis is joined by Rabbi Eric Walker, who explains a parable that the Lord spoke to him about the Tree of Life.”
Rabbi Bernis wrote the Foreword to Rabbi Walker’s book on The Tree of Life. Rabbi Walker does not mention the “Kabbalistic” interpretation of the Tree of Life, however he does share a Midrash parable, which he does not identify as Midrash but as a dream that he had. Rabbi Walker’s dream (read: Midrash) mixes Biblical metaphors so that the Tree of Life is the Vine in Jesus’ parable in John 15. From this faulty premise, he makes a case that the Israel is the root system of the Tree of Life, and that Yeshua is the Tree of Life into which Christians have been grafted.
“God shows us how the spiritual and physical root, Israel, created life for the children of Israel and became the source of life for all mankind through the Messiah. In Psalm 80:8-19, the Word of God says: You brought a vine out of Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it. You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land. The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches. It sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far as the River.” (Walker, pp. 69-70)
Because Christians have been grafted into the (Kabbalistic) Tree of Life, they need to unite with Jews for Israel (the root system) to be saved.
“The tree does not support the root; the root supports the tree. We don’t support the root; the root supports us. And for us who are the grafted-in natural or wild branches, we are reminded by Rabbi Shaul (Paul) that we don’t support the root; the root supports us (see Rom. 11:17-21). Let us not think so highly of ourselves that we believe that we’ve come to replace God’s plan for Israel and for His people. We’ve come to be part of it as coinheritors and co-laborers in this vineyard. We should work together so that we reap the riches and great reward that God has for us as we labor together for the harvest—our people’s salvation. God’s plan is for Jew and Gentile to become one in Messiah. How can you have one new man if you don’t have two old men? Let us walk humbly in the role God has given us, not trying to be what we are not. It is through our differences, our joining together in unity, that salvation will be brought about.” (Walker, pp. 76-77)
Rabbi Walker admonished Christians that they should not think that they matter more to God than Israel; therefore, they need to get off their pedestal and unite with Jews to save Israel or God may cut off the Church branch from the Tree of Life as He did the Jews!
“In the world today, millions are being taught that the Church replaced Israel. This replacement theology is anti-Semitism at its very core. If God could break His covenant with Israel, what makes you think He wouldn’t break His covenant with you? If He would break His promises to Israel, the apple of His eye, what makes them think that the Church matters more than Israel? Or that the Church would matter more than the place of the return of Messiah? The branches do not support the root. The root supports the branches. When you really grasp this grafting-in concept, you understand that I, as a Jew, am a natural branch cut off for unbelief, but grafted in to the same tree that Gentile believers are grafted into. When we understand the role of the branches to provoke Israel to envy, we bring about supernatural change. When we join together as Am Echad—one people—we draw upon the power of unity. It’s not a one or the other; it’s one and the other standing together, shoulder to shoulder. For in God’s Kingdom in the Spirit, there is no Greek and there is no Jew; there is no male and female. God didn’t make a mistake when He made you Jewish, and God didn’t make a mistake when He made you Gentile. He called all of us together for such a time as this. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either.” (Walker, pp. 111-112).
There can be no spiritual unity between Christians and Jews. Rabbi Walker is promoting reverse evangelism—Jews evangelizing Christians, instead of Christian evangelism of Jews. Rabbi Walker then introduces the Talmudic name of Jesus, “Yeshua.”
“We’ve been talking about the tree. And no branch on its own can do anything separated from the tree. It can bear no fruit. It cannot continue with its life; and any branch that is cut off, will be thrown into the fire. God gives us this example to show us that in and of ourselves we can accomplish nothing. We are only fruitful as we are attached to Him, our Source of life. The Tree of Life—the branch that He said would come—is Yeshua.” (Walker, p. 115)
The reason Messianic Jews will not use the name of “Jesus” given in the Greek New Testament (“Iesous”) is that their authority is the Babylonian Talmud which states Yeshua was an evil imposter. The following excerpts are from “The Talmud & Jesus Christ”:
“The Talmud and Cabala teachings of the Toledot Yeshu (or Tolodoth Ieschu or Sepher Toldoth Jehoshua), are representative of teachings regarding Christ which may be shocking to Christians. “‘...the Toledot Yeshu relates with the most indecent details that Miriam, a hairdresser of Bethlehem, 4. affianced to a young man named Jochanan, was seduced by a libertine, Joseph Panther or Pandira, and gave birth to a son whom she named Johosuah or Jeschu. According to the Talmudic authors of the Sota and the Sanhedrim, Jeschu was taken during his boyhood to Egypt, where he was initiated into the secret doctrines of the priests, and on his return to Palestine gave himself up to the practice of magic. 5. The Toledot Yeshu, however, goes on to say that on reaching manhood, Jeschu learnt the secret of his illegitimacy, on account of which he was driven out of the Synagogue and took refuge for a time in Galilee.’
“‘Now, there was in the Temple a stone on which was engraved the Tetragrammaton [YHWH] or Schem Hamphorasch, that is to say, the Ineffable Name of God; this stone had been found by King David when the foundations of the Temple were being prepared and was deposited by him in the Holy of Holies. Jeschu, knowing this, came from Galilee and, penetrating into the Holy of Holies, read the Ineffable name, which he transcribed on to a piece of parchment and concealed in an incision under his skin. By this means he was able to work miracles and to persuade the people that he was the son of God foretold by Isaiah. With the aid of Judas, the Sages of the Synagogue, succeeding in capturing Jeschu, who was then led before the Great and Little Sanhedrim, by whom he was condemned to be stoned to death and finally hanged./ Such is the story of Christ according to the Jewish Kabbalists ...’ 5.’

Rabbi Walker’s book, The Tree of Life, is subtly introducing Christians to the Kabbalah Tree of Life.

Rabbi Walker admonishes Christians to believe the Messianic Jewish false teaching that Christianity was derived from Judaism and, therefore, they need to return to their Hebrew Roots by uniting with Judaism—which is awaiting the {false} messiah. If Christians do not recognize their Hebrew roots, he says, they are guilty of Replacement theology. Rabbi Walker does not understand the New Testament. There is a difference between Replacement theology, which is Covenant theology, and Dispensational theology, which recognizes the separation God has placed between the present dispensation of the Church and the dispensation of His dealings with Israel, which were interrupted by the Church age and will resume during the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble.” There is no overlapping or merging of the dispensations in Scripture. Although the Church is presently a witness to the Jews, to provoke them to jealousy, there can be no union of Christians and unconverted Jews—who in their spiritual blindness (Rom. 11:25-26) are conspiring to bring Christians under their Talmudic Noahide Laws!
A “Must Read” to understand the difference between the covenants God has with Israel and the Church is Miles Stanford on Dispensational Theology. An excerpt from the late Miles Stanford explains the right division of the Word of God:
“Dr. Wm. R. Newell well knew the scriptural difference between Jesus’ Kingdom Gospel to Israel, and His heavenly Grace Gospel to the Church.
“Saul already stood in clearer light regarding the ascended Lord Jesus than did the other Apostles; for they had known Him primarily in His humiliation, and they were messengers to Israel, of whom is Christ “as concerning the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more’ (2 Cor.5:16)
“But Saul’s first vision of Christ was as the glorified One, the Eternal Son of God, in blinding ascension glory. Paul, we may say, never saw aught after his conversion “but the glory of that light’ that burst into his life from the glorified Lord. (Acts 22:11; Phil.3:7-10)
“We do not mean that the other Apostles did not recognize Jesus as Son of God. They had, long since. (Mat.16:16; Jn.1:14; 2:11; 20:28, etc.) But their first testimony at Jerusalem and to Israel had been of the Messiahship and Lordship of Jesus as Israel’s King.

“And the Jewish Christians constantly misunderstood Paul [even as they do now]. Today the ‘Messianic Jews’ naturally gravitate to Jesus’ Kingdom Gospel in the Synoptics—as do many others! Such liberty as Paul had come into was totally unknown before [and has been all too little known since!].’ (Paul vs. Peter, pp. 11, 12)”
In their spiritual blindness, and thinking they are serving God, the Jerusalem Sanhedrin is Preparing to Enforce the Talmudic Noahide Laws on the Gentile world. These Rabbinic laws will soon criminalize the worship of Jesus Christ. Furthering the Sanhedrin’s plan to bring Christians into compliance with the Noahide Laws, Janet Mefferd recommended a Yeshiva in Israel for Christians on Twitter.

Courses currently offered at The Charles Feinberg Center include: Jewish History, “Rabbinic Literature–Readings in Mishnah and Talmud,” Integration in Jewish Studies, Rabbinic Theology, Introduction to Spiritual Theology and Formation, Personal Foundation of Spiritual Formation, Theology of the Siddur (Jewish Prayer Book, containing a set order of daily prayers).
A decade ago, the course description at the Charles Feinberg Center website stated that the Master of Divinity degree required the intensive study of Jewish law. “Essential matters of theology and practice are treated through intensive study of Jewish law, religion, culture, sociology and history.” Jewish law is codified in the Shulchan Aruch which was authored by Yosef Karo, a Kabbalist, who received it in a perverted ritual with an angel:
“Born in Spain in 1488, Joseph Karo moved to Turkey with his family. He became a brilliant Jewish scholar, but, at the same time, became involved in Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism. He met and was strongly influenced by Solomon Alkabetz. Together, they created the ritual of Tikkun Leil Shavuot, the tradition of staying up all night on Shavuot evening. It was during one of these all-night rituals, that Karo was visited for the first time by his maggid, an angel who perched on his shoulder and kissed Jewish law into his mouth... According to Kehila News Israel, Tikkun is an “apostolic network” whose purpose is to extend Messianic Jewish Kingdom of God. Founded by Daniel Juster and Michael Brown, Tikkun is a part of the New Apostolic Reformation network.
“Tikkun International is a Messianic Jewish umbrella organization for an apostolic network of leaders, congregations and ministries in covenantal relationship for mutual accountability, support and equipping to extend the Kingdom of God in America, Israel, and throughout the world.”
“Tikkun” is Hebrew for “repair” and is used in rabbinic and kabbalistic literature to refer to “repair of the world” or “world transformation”:

Daniel Juster has been a speaker for the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE), a worldwide Messianic Jewish network that formed out of the Lausanne Consultation on World Evangelism (LCWE) meeting in 1980 in Pattaya, Thailand. “Apostle Daniel Juster” has worked with NAR Apostle Mike Bickle of the Latter Rain Kansas City prophets for 30 years, deceiving Jews and Christians that the Zionists are bringing in the Kingdom of God:
“Mike Bickle and I became friends and began to correspond starting in 1989 on issues of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, apostolic-prophetic ministry, the end times, the unity of the church, and the restoration of Israel. It was during this time that Mike became convinced of the need to join with Tikkun to truly undertake the Israel mandate. As noted above, Daniel Juster founded Tikkun with Michael Brown who does not admit he is part of the New Apostolic Reformation even though he has worked with NAR Apostles Daniel Juster (1987-1994), John Kilpatrick (1996-2000) and Louis Engle (2000-2001) and was one of the leading Apostles in the Brownsville Revival. The following excerpt from Church Watch Central exposes “What Michael Brown is hiding from his audience (Part 3): Timeline of Brown’s involvement in NAR ministry 1987-2001.”
“Juster records a conversation back in the fall of 1984, claiming Asher Intrater stated that their ministries needed to be ‘self-governing” and to have their ‘own apostolic flow.’ They wanted to ‘even have the beginning of [their] own five-fold leadership.’ Juster regarded this entire endeavour as a ‘formation of an apostolic network.’ These are NAR buzzwords and ideas. And these ideas among Brown’s leaders, were thrust upon their organizations. This may have been the first group of organizations that mixed Jewish Christian churches with influential N.A.R networks in America. Back in 1984, Juster not only rolled out his apostolic plans through [the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations], he then created a brochure (notice the language):
“After this meeting, I developed a brochure for the UMJC to explain that we accepted dual affiliation and wanted to welcome all Messianic Jews to take part in the UMJC. The brochure noted that some would be members of new apostolic streams, as God would raise up other apostles within our network. My desire was to see the UMJC become more and more apostolic-led. This would happen as leaders were elected who had overseen large congregations and/or the multiplication of congregations. At this point, the UMJC was charismatic in expression. Thus, I was hopeful that the UMJC would come to share my convictions on five-fold ministry and leadership.’ – Pg. 18 (Emphasis added.)’

Although Michael Brown had been there since 1987, Juster stated, ‘Due to our increasing differences, Mike decided to leave us in 1994. Here we can see the interconnection of the New Apostolic Reformation and Messianic Judaism. Daniel Juster has been a delegate and speaker at the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism during the period he was an Apostle of the Latter Rain Revival movement and presently the NAR. Many “NAR Apostles” are Jewish and many others are crypto-Jews.
Among the multitude of popular discernment ministries that have been exposing the New Apostolic Reformation for years, none have ever mentioned the close relationship between Messianic Judaism and the NAR. But the world has taken notice of these strange bedfellows as it tries to make sense of why Christian Zionists, who preach the gospel of peace and love, are clamoring for world war to bring mankind under the domination of Talmudic Jewry.

The largest single Christian Zionists event in the world, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ), was co-founded by Jack Hayford (mentioned previously under the International Society of Deliverance Ministries) and Robert Stearns, and is endorsed by the Knesset’s Christian Allies Caucus. Stearns heads Eagles Wing’s Ministry which manages the DPPJ, and he is also editor of Kairos, a popular apostolic and prophetic magazine which features top NAR apostles, although Stearns himself is not listed in the NAR’s International Coalition of Apostles (ICA) directory. Stearns’ ministry events often include Chuck Pierce, the heir apparent to C. Peter Wagner’s Global Harvest Ministries.
“Hayford, Stearns, and ICA apostles including Don Finto and Messianic Rabbi Dan Juster, provide coordination of support for the Messianic movement (Jews who convert but retain Jewish identity) in Israel and worldwide. Hayford is founder of The King’s Seminary which now has a charismatic Messianic division. Stearns is also a director of John Hagee’s Christians United for Israel, and although Hagee still teaches a dispensational theology, many of the other leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) are major figures in the New Apostolic Reformation including Stephen Strang of Strang Communications and publisher of Charisma, who is an ICA apostle. Don Finto led the prayer for Israel at Gov. Rick Perry’s stadium prayer rally on August 6, 2011.”
Janet Mefferd plays an important role in this end time conspiracy. Besides promoting the Zionist agents of the Council for National Policy to a large audience, she is Judaizing Christians by introducing them to the false teachers and their teachings of Talmudic Judaism, Kabbalah, Contemplative Prayer and the New Apostolic Reformation. This Modernist teaching has led to the Postmodern development of Messianic Judaism and the Hebrew Roots movement based on the corrupt Aramaic translation of the Greek New Testament.
Nearly a century ago, John Gresham Machen’s Origin of Paul’s Religion refuted the Modernist lie that the apostle Paul developed his gospel independently of the original apostles and under the Hellenist influence in Syria of which Antioch was the capital. Part 2 of an expose of John MacArthur’s book, Slave, summarizes Machen’s rebuttal of the modernist rejection of Paul’s ministry in his excellent book.

Did Jesus Christ intend to start a new religion called Christianity? We know He came to the lost house of Israel as their Messiah, and He also came to call His “ekklesia” out from among the Gentiles. Twice in the book of Matthew Jesus mentions His Church, which is a mistranslation of the Greek “ekklesia” which means “a calling out”:
“And δε I say λεγω also καγω unto thee σοι, That οτι thou συ art ει Peter πετρος, and και upon επι this ταυτη rock πετρα I will build οικοδομεω my μου church εκκλησια; and και the gates πυλη of hell Αδης shall κατισχυω not ου prevail against κατισχυω it αυτος..” Matt. 16:18
“And δε if εαν he shall neglect to hear παρακουω them αυτος, tell επω it unto the church εκκλησια: but δε και if εαν he neglect to hear παρακουω the church εκκλησια, let him be εστω unto thee σοι as ωσπερ an heathen man εθνικος and και a publican τελωνης..” Matt. 18:17
Jesus commissioned Paul to be a minister to the Gentiles, to preach the dispensation of God’s grace, which was heretofore a “mystery,” that is, not revealed to any previous generation.
“Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Col. 1:24-25
“For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ). Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:” Eph. 3:1-6
In the interview, Janet Mefferd and Joseph Farah also agreed, “There is no Biblical justification for Christians to worship on Sunday instead of Saturday which is the Sabbath.” This is another false teaching of the Hebrew Roots movement. The early Church met on the first day of the week, memorializing the day of the week on which Jesus rose from the dead. Sunday is the Lord’s day.
Acts 20:7: “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”
1 Cor. 16:1-2: “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.”
“It is universally agreed that this here denotes the first day of the week, or the Lord’s-day.” (Albert Barnes)
Furthermore, Paul wrote: “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Col. 2:16-17
Janet was quite critical of Christians in her interview of Joseph Farah. “Christians are wrong to think they don’t need to obey the Law.” She is using standard “Critical Theory”—relentlessly criticizing Christians and challenging New Testament doctrines as false teachings while presenting Old Testament legalism as the true religion. The agenda is to supplant traditional, Biblical Christianity with mystical, Gnostic Christianity, which is not Christian but Jewish.
Michael Brown similarly denigrated Christianity as a ‘garden variety’ religion in an interview with Jonathan Bernis.
“Jesus did not come to establish a new ‘home and garden’ religion called Christianity. He came to fulfill what was written in Moses and the prophets. If he is not the Messiah of Israel, if he is not the one of whom the prophet spoke, then he’s nobody’s messiah, he’s nobody’s savior, nobody should believe in him, Christians shouldn’t because he was either deceived or a deceiver. If he is the Messiah, he is for the Jewish people first. Paul said the gospel / good news is for the Jewish people first. That remains the same…”
The apostle Paul asserted more than once that those who are “in Christ,” by virtue of His death have “died to the law”:
“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” Romans 7:4
The devaluation of Christianity as just another religion and promotion of legalistic Judaism as God’s decreed system of worship is a set up for the Noahide Laws. In her final effort to Judaize her Christian audience, Mefferd inquired of Joe Farah, “How should Christians prepare for the Second Coming of Christ?”
Joe Farah: “Christians should celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles because in the Millennium God is not going to send rain on those who don’t.”
Joe and Janet seem unaware of the change of dispensations. They sound like the Galatians of whom Paul was in doubt:
“But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.” Gal. 4:9-11
The Messianic Jewish and Hebrew Roots movements were launched decades ago to draw Christians away from their belief in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus and into Judaism which teaches that salvation by obedience to the Old Testament Law. In the Messianic movement, the Grace of God in the New Covenant is portrayed as license to sin and bondage to the Old Testament Law (Romans 7) is presented as God’s word for Christians. To draw people away from Christianity into Judaism, Critical Theory is employed—non-stop criticism and lies about Christianity and the Christian church. For example, this Hebrew Roots Youth For Truth USA organization misrepresents the entire Christian Church as Mystery Babylon:
“There seems to be a large movement that is gaining steam among Christians who by reading the Word of God have left their denominations and “religion,” and have decided to repent for all disobedience to the Law of God, returning to a life of obedience to His Word, and His Word alone. They are seeing the bondage that has come from the “commandments of men” in many forms from many religious man-made institutions, and they are fleeing these institutions to return to what the Bible calls “TRUTH,” the Word of God that has never changed and is the same yesterday, today and forever. They see that TRUTH contradicts the many doctrines that they’ve been taught, or have inherited from their fathers. They are fulfilling the call of the third angel of Revelation: [quotes Jeremiah 51:45 and Revelation 18:4-5]"
A close look at this website reveals that the leader of Youth For Truth USA teaches that a Baptism of the Holy Spirit is needed in addition to repentance and water baptism in order to be born again and be “free from sin,“ with sin defined as “disobedience to God’s laws.“ According to this YFTU leader, a Christian who does not participate in a Three Fold Baptism—repentance, water baptism and baptism of the Holy Spirit—will remain a prisoner of sin. This Messianic youth cult will provide a “mature Christian“ who has the Holy Spirit to lay hands on the young person and pray for the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, Youth for the Truth USA falsely teaches that those who are truly baptized in the Holy Spirit will display the “signs and wonders“ gifts of Holy Spirit.
“When one receives the Holy Spirit, it carries with it signs that it has been received. It is a teacher, comforter, guide, companion, and with it comes POWER to walk in the Spirit free from sin. It brings with it gifts of healing, prophecy, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, signs and wonders, and tongues.”

Notice that the Holy Spirit is referred to as “It” instead of “He” which denies that the Holy Spirit is a Person in the Godhead. Denial of the Trinity is vintage Hebrew Roots heresy as exposed in our review of the Hebrew Roots book, The Rod of An Almond Tree. This book by Peter Michas is heretical in the extreme yet it was promoted by Sarah and Lynn Leslie in the January-February 1998 issue of The Christian Conscience magazine. Young Christians today would not remember the Latter Rain revival which the so-called Discernment ministries were actively exposing at the same time they promoted the false Hebrew Roots of Christianity. Sarah Leslie is now writing exposes of the New Apostolic Reformation, yet she has never retracted her promotion of the Hebrew Roots heresy and her recent article on “Dominionism and the Rise of Christian Imperialism” identifies the Dominionst movement as “Christian” rather than its true source, Zionism.
In 1997 I attended a conference sponsored by the Discernment ministries at which Sarah Leslie, Jewel van der Merwe (Grewe), Berit Kjos, Dean Gotcher and others were speakers. There I met a Unitarian minister who I later learned was the director of the conference and had ties to British intelligence.
