“In 1865, the cream of Britain’s oligarchy gathered in
London, overseen by Queen Victoria personally, to found the Palestine
Exploration Fund (PEF), with funding provided by the Crown, by the United Grand
Lodge of freemasonry, by the Rothschilds and by the Church of England. The
event was chaired by the Archbishop of York, who proclaimed that the Holy Land,
was, by all rights, English property.
“The President and Treasurer of the PEF were,
respectively, Sir Charles Warren, one of the leading freemasons in Britain (he
had ‘passed through the Royal Arch’ at the age of 21, one of the youngest
masons in Britain ever to do so), and Sir Walter Besant (the brother-in-law of
Annie Besant, controller of Britain’s Theosophy cult—one of extraordinary
importance in British imperial designs...). British Freemasonry at this time
was undergoing explosive growth, one directed by the Prince of Wales personally
as Grand Master of UGLE from 1875 until he ascended the throne in 1901…
“In 1886, the Prince of Wales chartered the elite Quatuor
Coronati lodge, described within freemasonry at the time as a ‘revolution in
world masonry.’ The lodge was unique, not only for ushering in a revival of the
cabala, but insofar as it was founded specifically as an ‘archaeological
lodge.’ It’s two founding officers were none other than the chairman and
treasurer, respectively, of the PEF, Sir Charles Warren and Sir Walter Besant…
From 1867-70, Warren had overseen an extensive archaeological dig under and
around the Temple Mount, and had held freemasonic lodge meetings under the
Mount…
“Among the stable of academics and archeologists whose
‘findings’ are used to beat the drums for rebuilding Solomon’s Temple, none is
more important than the Dutch-born British archaeologist Leen Ritmeyer. He was
for 20 years the chief assistant to Dr. Benjamin Mazar, who was in charge of
the Temple Mount for the Israeli government for decades. Ritmeyer is now a
close associate of the Darbyite Temple propagandist, Dr. Randall Price, and is
the anointed authority on the ‘real location of Solomon's Temple,’ according to
the publicity given him by the Palestine Exploration Fund and by Biblical
Archaeological Review, both of which regularly feature his work. He is
sponsored on speaking tours by the PEF's Israeli subsidiary, the Israel
Exploration Society, and has lectured to the Ateret Cohanim and to the Temple
Institute of Rabbi Ariel in Jerusalem...
“An EIR investigator called Ritmeyer shortly after the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, to inquire about his work. He reported that he had just recently found the precise resting place, inside the Islamic holy place of the Dome of the Rock, of the lost Ark of the Covenant! Even more remarkable, was the financial sponsor of the ‘discovery’: ‘I was doing some research for a month in Jerusalem, supported by Lord Rothschild, of all people, and that is when I found the location of the Temple and the location of the Ark of the Covenant! You can still see it in the rock, very clearly. Questioned further, Ritmeyer said that the London-based Lord Jacob Rothschild had ‘sought me out’ for the work, and that he had done, and continued to do, much work in an around Jerusalem for the Rothschild family.”

Subject: Re: Dave Hunt as your spiritual father
Dear Lois:
Jackie is somebody who has hung around for a long time on supposedly
anti-New Age work. She married a reporter for ETERNITY Magazine which had a
vested interest (they were pro Jeremy Rifkin, sympathetic to New Age
Movement) in silencing legitimate anti-New Age work. Evangelical Ministries
to New Religions hosted some disinformation conferences. In 1983 they tried
to set me up in southern California. It backfired on them. In March 1985
they held a conference at the Denver Seminary. We found out that security
guards had been hired just in case I showed up. It was supposedly an
anti-New Age seminary. They hired J. Gordon Melton, a prominent New Ager to
present a paper called A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE
RAINBOW. Basically it was the New Age evangelical caucus pretending to
fight the New Age. This was EMNR (Evangelical Ministries to New Religions).
Then in 1987 it was a combination of Doug Coe (a Mark Hatfield associate),
EMNR, SCP (Spiritual Counterfeits Project), Regent College (Vancouver,
B.C.), Denver Seminary forces combining to host the Gold Lake Conference in
Boulder, Colorado. Barbara Marx Hubbard was invited to chair that event at
their invitation. Jackie Alnor who was then Jackie Miller met her husband
at a conference where I was one of the speakers in Phoenix in 1987. He kept
pressing me for an interview and with the treatment the who [sic] subject had
received from ETERNITY and knowing of his associations with Eric Pement, et
al, I refused. I did not denounce him publicly as Jackie claims; however, I
did let my audience know of the posture ETERNITY MAGAZINE had taken in the
entire struggle and that generally the magazine had not been our friend.
They married. Bill Alnor went on to head EMNR (what a surprise) and wrote a
book, again attacking that contained actionable material. I nearly sued.
He took excesses by very flaky evangelical/fundamentalist movements such as
the datesetter whose name was I believe Edgar Whisenant. Then with
headlines he accomplished something that was clearly actionable. The
chapter was headed CONSIDER THE SOURCE. I was the alleged source.
I saw Jackie hanging around on our bulletin boards and email lists and sent
her a couple of messages. Dave Hunt was a false friend for several years
until I cut it off in October of 1987. I kept the matter private, however,
Jackie's postings forced me to respond and are bringing it to a head. Maybe
it was time that people know how insidious this battle has really been.
Feel free to pass this on.
Sincerely,
CONSTANCE E. CUMBEY

A COMPASS Ministry
Editor:
Note the Compass Ministries logo - the hyperdimensional
double-tetrahedron which exists today as the Masonic Square and Compass:
“The Square represents the female
(passive) generative principle, the earth, and the baser, sensual nature; and
the Compass represents the male (active) generative principle, the sun/heavens,
and the higher, spiritual nature. The Compass, arranged above the Square,
symbolizes the (male) Sun, impregnating the passive (female) Earth with its
life-producing rays. The true meanings, then are two-fold: the earthly (human)
representations are of the man and his phallus, and the woman with her
receptive cteis (vagina). The cosmic meaning is that of the active Sun (deity,
the Sun-god) from above, imparting life into the passive Earth, (deity, the
earth/fertility goddess) below and producing new life.” [source: James Shaw & Tom McKenney, Huntington House
Inc., Lafayette, LA, 1988, Appendix B, p. 143]
See variations of this occult
symbol in: New Years Age
of Horus
“…the symbolism of the
hyperdimensional double-tetrahedron evolved into various symbols such as the
Egyptian Merkaba, the Star of David (through the Moses/Aknenaton
connection), and the Square and Compass of Freemasonry (via Solomon's Temple).
“If we take one more step
backwards from Egypt to Sumeria, we can find the true symbolism of the
hyperdimensional double-tetrahedron which exists today as the Masonic Square
and Compass. In the Sumerian writings regarding the Anunnaki, symbols were used
to represent various planets as the Anunnaki entered the solar system from the
outside and approached Earth. The Sumerian symbols for the planets were stars
with each of them having a particular number of points correlating with the
reverse numerical order of the planets when the solar system is entered from
the outside.
“The symbol for Earth was
a ‘seven pointed star’ and was designated the ‘Planet of Enlil’ in Sumerian
writings according to the information on pages 256-262 in Zecharia Sitchin's
‘The 12th Planet’. The connection of the ‘seven pointed star’ to the
‘Enlil/Seth/Sons of Belial/Nazi/Owls’ faction correlates with the corrupted
Crowleyistic version of Egyptian mythology that was encoded in the Times Square
Millennium Ball. While the planet Venus was represented by an ‘eight pointed’
star (see page 262 of ‘The 12th Planet’), Mars was represented by a
"six-pointed star" (page 263 of ‘The 12th Planet’) which gives us our
next connection.”
Compass Ministries offers
Biblelands Cruise 2002
[Editor's note: Compass
Ministries [Coeur d'Alene, Idaho], which sponsors the annual Colorado Steeling
of the Mind conferences, is possibly a Missler-related org. Missler is one of
the featured speakers in Compass's Biblelands Cruise 2002. Missler's Koinonia
House Ministry is also based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.]
What
is the Steeling Conference All About?
Debuting in 1993, Steeling The Mind
of America is an annual conference organized and hosted by Compass
International, Inc. [Coeur d'Alene, Idaho] Usually held in August, twelve
top Christian speakers are invited to make presentations on hot or difficult
Christian topics.
Now in its ninth year, Steeling The
Mind of America has become one of the most popular Christian conferences in
America. The top Christian speakers in America once again will gather in the
cool mountain breezes of Keystone, Colorado for another incredible weekend to
remember! From apologetics to legal
issues; from Bible prophecy to the Christian
lifestyle; from praise to prayer. Affectionally dubbed the
"What-if-the-Lord-doesn't-come-soon" conference, expect a lot of
armor to steel your mind with the truth!!!!
The exchange of truthful
information is one of the most critical assets we have as Christians. Today's
world is driven by information, and most of it is superintended by a media
force that is openly opposed to a Christian world view. In a front page story
dated February 1, 1993, a Washington Post reporter referred to evangelical
Christians as “poor, uneducated, and easy to command.”
And who is in command? The media,
which is liberal by its own admission, is helping to shape a very different
world view. At risk are our constitutional rights, our individual freedoms, and
most importantly, our children.
Steeling the Mind is about getting the
truth into the hands of rational, thinking Christians.
Ignorance is not bliss--it's dangerous. But armed with truth, we
can intelligently make those critical decisions that affect our families and
businesses. To accomplish that, we're bringing together ten of the best and
brightest speakers who are highly knowledgeable in their respective fields.
People who will give you information, and insight, without the liberal slant.
What you do with that information
can make a difference. God is in control, He has a master plan, and the real
privilege comes in being used as part of that plan. But reasoning people can be
greatly influenced by the information they get, who they believe, and what they
do with it. And when God's people make major decisions based on the wrong
information, the results can be far reaching. Just ask Joshua and Caleb.
Make plans to attend the next Steeling The Mind of America
conference in beautiful Keystone, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains!
Our next conference will take place August of 2001.

Speaking
Engagements:
Gary has spoken at more than 300
churches, conventions, universities and other functions in North America; and
has been invited to do speaking tours in Australia, New Zealand, Israel,
Germany and the United Kingdom.
Conventions:
Gary has been a featured speaker
at: the Chicago National Day of Prayer Ceremonies* (James & Shirley Dobson, CNP), the North American Gold Conference, the annual God's News Behind the News Bible Prophecy
Conference, and the Concerned Women
for America National Convention (LaHayes, CNP) in Washington D.C.
*Ed Note: The National Day of
Prayer [Dobson] is an initiative of Lausanne/Mission America's National Prayer
Committee.
Universities:
Gary has delivered talks at both
public and private institutions of higher learning as diverse as Purdue
University and Calvary Chapel Bible College.
Churches:
Gary has been a guest speaker at
churches of various denominational backgrounds throughout the United States,
Canada and the U.K. ranging from Missionary Alliance and Wesleyan Churches, to
Southern Baptist, Assembly of God, and Independent Community Churches. Some of
the churches where he has spoken include the following:
[clip]
Community
Organizations:
Hope For The World has held city-wide meetings in Seattle, Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, Green Bay and other locations in conjunction with various community and church groups. More than 2,000 people have attended some of these functions to be informed and challenged by Gary's message.
Debates/Testimonies:
Gary has been invited to participate in both public and media organized debates on the subject of global governance. The most recent example is of a debate with former two-term U.S. Senator, Mike Gravel, regarding his involvement in promoting the Philadelphia II Initiative... Gravel's organization, One-World, is the primary sponsor of the initiative. The debate was organized by WYLL Radio of Chicago.
Gary has also testified at
hearings before members of the Indiana State Legislature regarding a bill
calling for a Conference of the States, and
has briefed members of the “Council on National Policy” (Nashville-1995).* In 1995 Gary was
also invited by a gubernatorial candidate to run as Lieutenant Governor of
Indiana.
Kah has probably attended more
than one Council for National Policy meeting. According to one researcher who
heard Kah interviewed on Henry Feinberg's radio call-in program [late 1990s],
Kah volunteered the fact that he has been a presenter at more than just one CNP
meeting. When the researcher called in to the program and asked for
clarification/questions about the CNP, the program went to a commercial break
with the assurance of answering her questions as soon as the interview resumed.
However, after the break the discussion moved on to another topic without
addressing the researcher's questions.
I personally wrote to Gary Kah on two occasions––October 1997 and again in
1998––asking if he had exposed the CNP in his writing and offering to pay for
anything he could send. The first time I received only advertising for Kah’s
Hope for the World newsletter and there was no response to the second request.
The Council for National Policy
is a 500+ member consortium of globalists, cults, secret societies, subversive
organizations, corporate enterprise and evangelical ministries. Membership of
the CNP is comprised of high profile evangelical leaders who establish
“conservative” policies and the evangelical agenda in collaboration with
Knights of Malta, Opus Dei, Freemasons, Moonies, CFR members, Klu Klux Klan officials,
former Nazis and Nazi collaborators, neo-Nazis, Roman Catholics, and members of
the Eugenics societies. For understanding of the globalist character of this
organization, the reader is referred to the following in-depth reports:
The Council for National Policy
CNP Database of Officers and
Prominent Members
Charles H. Kendall Jr., Ph.D.,
advisor to Protecting Marriage, Inc. [PA], commented on the nature of the CNP:
“With secret, unpublicized meetings, and no stated mission or agenda for public
benefit, the CNP strikes us as a domestic variant of the Bilderbergers, another
extremely powerful and secret group of world leaders, recently described in TIME
magazine. And if the CNP meets in secret and performs no public educational or
charitable works, how can it maintain 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status?”
QUESTIONS:
• What is Kah saying today about having attended the lavish and very private CNP gatherings?
• Is Kah speaking out publicly against the Council for National
Policy…at last?
• Is he continuing to write articles for John Ankerberg's [CNP]
Harbor Lighthouse? [See below]
Articles/Newsletter:
Gary publishes his own regular newsletter
'Hope For The World Update' and is a regular
contributor to the Ankerberg Theological Research Institute website (Ankerberg,
CNP).
Videos:
Gary was a featured guest in the video "Final Warning," produced by
Peter Lalonde and Grant Jeffrey,* as well as "The New World
Order" produced by Lighthouse Communications. Additional video tapes of
Gary's presentations at major conventions and city-wide meetings are also
available.

Ed. Note:
Grant Jeffrey wrote
the foreword to Gary Kah's most recent book The
New World Religion and he markets it on his Prophecy On Line web site.
Jeffrey promotes the Bible Codes
as being "scientific and authoritative" –– The Mysterious Bible Codes, The
Signature of God and its sequel, The Handwriting of God, Sacred Mysteries of
the Bible.
Jeffrey was Hal Lindsey's guest
on Lindsey's Saturday morning radio call-in program [late 90's] discussing the
Bible codes. He said that Princess Diana and her fatal accident… even Paul and
Jan Crouch and TBN were found in the Bible codes!! Jeffrey even claims that the “Oklahoma bombing” is encoded.
He writes, “In the face of an unrelenting attack on the authority of the
Scriptures, God made provision in the form of additional scientific evidence
that could challenge this modern assault on the Bible.” Jeffrey markets Bible
and Torah Code Software Programs on his web site.

Kah was featured at God's News Behind the
News Prophecy Conference [Feb. 2001] with
Jeffery, and Yacov Ramsel, a Messianic Rabbi who heads Messianic Ministries,
Inc. Ramsel was interviewed last year by TBN's Ben Kinchlow about his book the Genesis Factor. Ramsel also made the
claim that Paul and Jan Crouch were found in the Bible codes.
Those Ridiculous Bible Codes!
Using the ELS (Equidistant Letter
Sequencing) computer program, Ramsel is considered a Bible Code authority:
“Those who
are ‘wise’ and who have observed the accuracy of ELS (especially when it is
decoded by Yacov Ramsel) will
realize the absolute seriousness of the above dated, prophetic ELS warnings.
Because of their life and death ramifications, they have likewise been checked
and verified as accurate by Mr. Ramsel.”
Now proceed to the web site where
this quote is found for an example of Bible Codes gone haywire:
The Bible's 911 Call (9/11/99, September
11, 1999)?
What are the Bible Codes really? The introduction of so-called Bible Codes to Christians is nothing less than the mainstreaming of Jewish mysticism in the Christian Church. By applying various types of Kabbalistic gematria and numerology to the Bible, heretical interpretations of Scripture are purveyed under the guise of teaching the “Hebrew Roots” of Christianity. Missionary
/ Researcher
Dick Baer is a former Mormon
Melchizedek priest who is considered to be one of the leading Christian
authorities on the Mormon faith. After leaving the Mormon Church and becoming a
Christian, Mr. Baer founded Ex-Mormons and Christian Alliance (EMCA), an
evangelical Christian ministry reaching out to Mormons with the true gospel.
EMCA recently merged with TruthQuest Institute.* Dick began full-time
Christian ministry in 1981 and has given over 2,500 presentations in
approximately 2,000 churches throughout the US and internationally. He is a
graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a B.S. in
sociology.

Missionary
/ Researcher
John is a former member of the
Reorganized Latter-day Saints. He has over ten years of experience in
researching, writing and teaching on cults and various new religious movements.
John is an adjunct faculty member at Capital Bible College, does substitute
teaching at Trinity Life Bible College, both in Sacramento, CA, and is a board member for Evangelical Ministries to New Religions.
Researcher
… The son of a Seventh-day
Adventist minister, he received parts of his education in SDA parochial schools.
Rejecting that whole system, he delved briefly into Scientology, then spent
three years involved with Vedanta (a strain of Hinduism, and foundational to
the philosophy of the New Age Movement). After praying about the Book of Mormon
he received a spiritual “testimony” of its truthfulness which he (mistakenly)
believed was from the Holy Ghost. He accepted Mormonism as true and was
baptized into the Mormon church, in which he was a devout believer for ten
years.
He served in numerous callings in both the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods of Mormonism. As a “temple Mormon,” he did work for the dead in five different Mormon temples. He also served as a Mormon missionary in France and Switzerland. He was given an “honorable release” from his mission four months early, after asking the mission president questions on Mormon doctrine and history.
Timothy left Mormonism in June,
1981, and was born again as a Christian three months later. In 1984 he began
missionary outreach to Mormons in Arizona, hosting a half-hour radio broadcast
called “The Mormon Question.” In 1986 two Arizona churches sent him as a
missionary to Utah. In 1988 he joined Watchman Fellowship and served as the
Utah Director for more than seven years before moving to join the headquarters
staff in Arlington, Texas.
… He also served on the Elder
Board at the Evangelical Free Church of
Salt Lake City, where for years he taught
a Sunday school class on understanding and evangelizing Mormons.
…He is now responsible for
evangelism equipping seminars at Watchman’s Arlington office, and also teaches
in churches, colleges and universities. He is Director of Research Services,
responsible for maintaining Watchman’s voluminous library and files. He
oversees annual missions projects in the U.S., especially in Utah…
Alabama
State Director
…He also currently serves as executive director of
Evangelical Ministries to New Religions (EMNR) an umbrella organization of Christian discernment and apologetic
organizations similar to Watchman Fellowship.
… he
serves as Ministries Coordinator in Watchman's Alabama office. …Bob has been tasked with developing and designing
training and educational curricula. [emphasis added]
CRI Resources: CWCG - A Church Reborn
with Joseph Tkach Jr.,
Pastor General of the WWCoG and Greg Albrecht, Editor of Plain Truth Magazine,
Price: $18.00.
In this Dialog with Hank series, you will be encouraged and enlightened as Joseph Tkach and Greg
Albrecht speak candidly about the transformation of the Worldwide Church of God
from the kingdom of the cults to the kingdom to Christ. Abandoned are false
doctrines and practices such as the denial of the Trinity and mandatory triple
tithing. In their place is a sincere and absolute commitment to Scripture and
salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. 3 cassette tapes.
“Throughout 1995 and 1996, Ruth Tucker
and Hank Hanegraaff were publicizing their deceptive propagandist
publications and writings supporting the Worldwide Church of God. They
should be hailed as the chief architects of the New Age WCG transformation of
‘God’s great plan’ for transforming the cult to a Christian Church. Without
Hanegraaff and Tucker, the WCG conglomerate would not have been a bride made
ready for Billy Graham and team. It would not have been possible to join hand
in hand with Promise Keepers, work with Chuck Colson’s Prison
Ministries, sell and market Pat Boone videos, or to occupy various
seats on National Association for Evangelical (NAE). Tucker and
Hanegraaff took the lead in publishing WCG history revision and absolute
propaganda into the mainstream community.”
October 2, 1995—Christianity Today
The Road To Orthodoxy—David Neff
“CT readers
will be glad to know that they [WCG] are no longer considered among the harlot
daughters of the Great Whore. But how will we respond? Sadly, Christians outside
the WCG have been suspicious and slow to extend the right hand of fellowship.
(A few leaders have been helpful, WCG leaders say: Hank Hanegraaff of the
Christian Research Institute and Ruth Tucker of Trinity International
University, for example; and faculty from Regent College, Fuller Seminary, and
Azusa Pacific University have also helped inform the transition.”
Hank Hanegraaff of Christian Research
Institute, James Walker and Phil Arnn of Watchman Fellowship, Ruth Tucker of
Trinity Evangelical University, Michael Kellner and Larry Neff of Christianity
Today were among the most
prominent mouthpieces for the WCG publicity campaign during the past five
years. Watchman Fellowship conducted WCG update seminars in `94, `95 and `96 at
the Evangelical Conference. Each seminar message propelled the WCG effort and
propaganda into the ears of smaller Christian ministries and Evangelicals whose
only venue to what was happening in the WCG was through the mouths of these
main groups and spokespersons for the WCG. Hank Hanegraaff extended the WCG
media blitz, as he claimed his own fame as the hero who guided the cult to
orthodoxy and marketed that message as a money producer for his own agenda.
Ruth Tucker claimed her fame through error-punctuated articles in popular
Christian magazines. LA Times Religion writer, Larry B. Stammer, proved himself
a pawn in the game as he honored the tailored press releases delivered to him
directly by the WCG spin-doctors. He printed the party line-without question.3
See article in July 15, 1996
issue of Christianity Today with Hanegraaff’s
words:
“Acceptance into mainstream evangelicalism
has come slowly—and there has been, in some instances, opposition, largely from
‘cult-watching groups’ that, in the words of Joseph Tkach, Jr., ‘made the
journey ten times more difficult.’
“But there have been exceptions. Hank
Hanegraaff of the Christian Research Institute, successor to the late Walter
Martin on The Bible Answer Man broadcast, speaks with a different voice: ‘Rather than developing hurdles for these guys to jump
over, our job is to facilitate the
process.’ In a recent radio interview with Tkach, Jr., and Albrecht,
Hanegraaff introduced them as ‘brothers in the Lord.’
“D. James Kennedy, senior minister of
Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Florida, says: ‘This is the most astonishing
change that I have ever seen or heard of in any religious group, for which I,
for one, praise God.’”
NOTE: Removed from Hank Hanegraaff’s
Biography on the CRI website:
“He was later discipled under the ministry of
Dr. D. James Kennedy and served as a staff member of Dr. Kennedy's Evangelism
Explosion International. Hank went on to become the director of the Personal Witness
Training Program (which he developed) at Dr. Paul Walker's 10,000 member Mount
Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia, and served as a faculty member of the
Development Association for Christian Institutions.”
See original biography of
Hank Hanegraaff, below.
Excerpt from letter from
Hanegraaff to his supporters, dated April 13, 1998:
“You see -- Millennial Madness [video] was
produced by an arm of a former cult called the Worldwide Church of God. Their
magazine, The Plain Truth, was once so fixated on ‘prediction addiction’that I
used to refer to them tongue-in-cheek as ‘Armageddon Incorporated.’ But then
something extraordinary happened. The leaders of the Worldwide Church of God
were marvelously transformed by the gospel of God's grace. I praise God that the Christian Research Institute and
the Bible Answer Man broadcast played a part in this miraculous transformation.”
Tkach/WCG Transformation?
“When
questioned as to his own personal salvation experience, Tkach replied ‘Everyone
has his own experience. Many of us came to Christ in the Worldwide Church.
Herbert Armstrong, in spite of errors he taught, had a high view of
Scripture.’…
“A statement
issued by the WWCG leaders declared ‘We believe our journey out of the world of
cults, unbiblical teaching and legalism into the mainstream of the body of
Christ can help us minister to others, helping them to avoid similar pitfalls.’
“However, when examining the WWCG doctrinal statement, one has trouble considering it to be an Evangelical, much less Fundamentalist, statement on basic doctrine-especially, the Scriptures. They offered the Bible as ‘the fully reliable record of God's revelation to humanity.’ One can ask if the Bible is ‘God's revelation to humanity’ or is it just a ‘record’ of it? A reliable record to tell us about God’s revelation is not the same as God’s revelation. A Fundamentalist would declare that ‘the Bible is God's revelation of His Person, His works, and His will for humanity.’” [source: American Council of Christian Churches, NRB Annual Convention, 1997]
Original Hanegraaff Bio on CRI website:
Hank
Hanegraaff serves as president and chairman of the board of the
California-based Christian Research Institute International (CRI). He also
hosts CRI's Bible Answer Man program, which is broadcast daily across
the United States and Canada.
Raised as a member of the Christian
Reformed Church, Hank came to faith in Jesus Christ as a result of examining the
scientific evidence for creation, the resurrection of Jesus, and the
inspiration of Scriptures. He was later discipled
under the ministry of Dr. D. James Kennedy and served as a staff member of Dr.
Kennedy's Evangelism Explosion International. Hank went on to become the
director of the Personal Witness Training Program (which he developed) at Dr.
Paul Walker's 10,000 member Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia, and
served as a faculty member of the Development Association for Christian Institutions.
CRI's founder, Dr. Walter Martin,
personally selected Hank to succeed him as president of CRI - a careful choice
demonstrating that a committed layman, showing himself approved by studying and
correctly handling the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15), can effectively reach out
to those trapped by false religious systems and beliefs.
Dr. Martin insisted that Hank present
himself as a layman rather than a "credentialed" expert to prove
that, as Hank puts it, "If I can do it, anyone can!" Hank points out
that, "This is not the day of the priest, but the priesthood of all
believers - a day when all members of the body of Christ need to be equipped to
share and defend the gospel once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude
3).
When Dr. Martin selected Hank as the
leader who would take CRI into the decade of the 1990s and beyond, he said,
"Hank personifies the next phase of development for CRI and is uniquely
equipped through his dynamic leadership abilities, knowledge of God's Word, and
teaching ability to make sound biblical apologetics a simple yet effective tool
in the hands of the laity. His success as a businessman, strategic planner,
author and speaker have equipped him to lead the ministry of the Christian
Research Institute aggressively into the future and to build on the work that
I, by God's grace, began."
Hank founded Memory Dynamics
which utilized memory techniques designed to prepare Christians to communicate
effectively (1) what they believe, (2) why they believe it, and (3) where
non-Christian and pseudo-Christian groups deviate from historic Christianity so
that believers are always ready to give an answer - a reason for the hope that
lies within them with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
Hank is heard daily as host of the
nationally syndicated Bible Answer Man radio program. He is the author
of Counterfeit Revival, a Silver Medallion winner and Christianity in
Crisis, a Gold Medallion winner by the Evangelical Christian Publisher's
Association. Hank's recent book, The F.A.C.E. that Demonstrates the Farce of
Evolution, was released in early October, 1998. Other books which he has
written include Personal Witness Training: Your Handle on the Great
Commission and Memory Dynamics: Your Untapped Resource for Spiritual
Growth. He is also a regular contributor to The Christian Research
Journal and The Plain Truth Magazine. Among his recent media
appearances are interviews with Peter Jennings, on ABC television, and Larry
King Live, on CNN television. A popular conference speaker, he has addressed
churches, schools and businesses worldwide.
Hank lives in Southern California with
his wife, Kathy and their eight children, Michelle, Katie, David, John Mark,
Hank Jr., Christina, Paul and Faith.
